Willing Webcam may freeze when it is connected to a driver that does not work or when the connected camera stops working (a camcorder or a still digital cam). The program collects all WDM and VFW driver headers on your system and works only with them. Drivers are provided by webcam manufacturers.

A security freeze is a mechanism to prevent new account identity theft. Only a security freeze allows the consumer to limit access to his or her consumer reporting file. Baja has SmartubT which is a NEW system that among other features provides "Freeze Protection". In very cold weather, the Smartub "senses" freezing weather and turns on the heater and pump. Other spas without this feature generally will freeze up, because they use a "water sensing temperature probe" in the spa's water. Under some hardware configurations this can happen. It is only known to happen with Rage 128 Pro graphics cards. There appears to be a bug relating to the graphics card drivers that cause any carbon applications using the card to freeze. Since java 1.3.1 is carbon based, it suffers from this problem. Follow the instructions here to disable hardware acceleration. Java 1.4.x does not suffer from this problem (in beta at this time).

The main reason for a device to slow down and crash is the lack of available memory. To free up memory, shut down applications that you are not actively using by going to Start>Settings>System tab>Memory>Running programs. As memory is made available, the device will return to normal function.

If your computer is older than 5 years old, it may just not be capable of playing back streaming media. Try viewing the test clips as a first step. If your computer is relatively new and repeatedly freezes when viewing the presentation, you may have to re-load your browser software, especially if your computer freezes when surfing the web in general. In some cases, a slow internet connection can be the cause of the computer freezing, but in many cases any kind of activity is just very slow.
