Our programmes for school groups are always tailormade around the needs of your particular group. We normally recommend a programme of either 15 or 20 language lessons, 5 days per week. You will take a Language Placement Exam before you register for classes to see exactly what Spanish language course you will take. Yes. Students attending Buenos Aires, Florence, Heidelberg or Lausanne during the Academic Year must have completed the relevant 151 language course by the Spring 2008. Once a student has presented appropriate documentation of a disability, (usually learning disability or hearing disability) impacting foreign language learning, he/she may choose to follow the procedure for substituting an approved alternate course. To request an accommodation, the student must complete a "Foreign Language Course Substitution Form," submit it to the Office of Disability Services, and make an appointment with the director.

On the first day of your course, we ask you to take a written language placement test, followed by a short interview, if necessary. This enables us to make sure that we can place you in a group appropriate to your language ability level. Courses run throughout the year for ten different ability levels, which means you can start a course on any Monday in the year. Each course is divided into chapters, and each chapter is further divided into various lessons, a role-play, a review quiz, and a pronunciation check. The course also provides a vocabulary section. In the lessons you learn the main grammar points of the language while practicing all language skills (listen, speak, read, and write). All the language lessons provide interactive explanations, examples, exercises, and learning games.

English doesn't have to be your first language but you must be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in reading, writing, listening and speaking whether it is a first, second or foreign language for you. If English is not your first language Mayflower College will require a recent IELTS certificate (with a minimum score of 7.0 in every skill)

It is preferable to start the course on the dates specified in the Calendar. Courses normally commence on the first day of the week. If you are not able to start the course on the specified date, you should contact the school.

Language knowledge is always considered in a positive light and knowing more than just English can only be a benefit to you (for example: it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to obtain work in an international federation with only English. Most federations require fluency in at least two languages). However, it is not obligatory. Information on language schools and courses can be found at each of the three universities.

You can pay for your Russian language course, accommodation and other services in cash (dollars, rubles or euro) within 1-2 days after arrival in Moscow at our office.
