If you have access to a scanner, scan your photo at 300 dpi and save it as a .jpg or .tif file. Then you can e-mail the file to us. If you prefer to send a physical photo, we will provide you with our mailing address and you can mail it to us. Your original photo will be returned with your final order.

Most digital cameras have proprietary file formats. If your camera outputs jpg, you can send the picture. If not, you need to open it in an image editing program and save it as a jpg file.

Sure. We do, however, highly recommend you use a minimum 1.3 mega pixel, and preferably a 2.1 mega pixel or higher camera to take your shots with. Older cameras with lower resolutions will produce visibly inferior photos which produce inferior quality imprints.

Yes, however there are some exceptions. Send us your data by e-mail and we will let you know. The quality is very diverse in many cases. Keep in mind that the quality of the image depends on the resolution and the clarity of the image. A higher resolution image will usually produce a good sharp print.

Yes, we do accept digital camera files. Some cameras perform better in certain lighting conditions, so not all digital camera files are accepted. 10MP camera files and above are accepted. 8MP camera files are accepted only on a case-by-case basis. Almost all digital camera files need to be optimized to meet our requirements. Please see Digital Submission Requirements for guidance. Yes! I accept photographs by email. If I have any difficulty in using the picture, I'll let you know. The decision whether a digital print will be suitable for portraiture will be dependent upon the print itself, and will be made on a case-by-case basis. Your digital pictures may be emailed to me to review if you like.

Usually, no- consumer digital cameras do not have sufficient resolution and image quality to correctly reproduce original artwork. Whereas most digital cameras have resolution of about 3-6 megabytes, high resolution files for giclees are typically 100-450 megabytes in size. Only the best (and very expensive) digital camera backs used by professional photographers with studio lights produce files good enough for giclee.

If you have a camera on your mobile phone, you will be able to post your picture using it. The steps are very simple. We check all profiles frequently. There are a couple ways. 1) Ask a friend with a digital camera or camera phone to take pictures of your dog and email them to you. Then upload those attached files to our site 2) Take pictures of your dog with a film camera and get a copy of the developed on a digital CD. 3) Find a friend with a photo scanner, bring over some printed photos and scan them. (Note that scanner create very big files, so you may want to select the option to save the photos for the web so they are easier to upload)

Usually a IrDA digital camera expected to communicate to a computer and uses a protocol other than TCP/IP/PPP. Unless the camera supports TCP/IP/PPP, it would not be able to connect to EthIR LAN and upload digital pictures.

Yes, if you print a high-resolution digital file onto ink jet photo paper, the results will be similar to regular film processed photos. Any high-quality print is fine. However, if you have a digital camera, we would still prefer that you email us the photo.

To perform this is actually quite easy once you get the basic steps down. You can either send the picture as soon as you take it or you can save it and then send it later. Either way, it is basically the same steps once you hit the "Send" button either in the options of your saved photo gallery or as soon as you take the picture. Once you select "Send", most phone models will open up an address window and a message window.

This really depends on what you want to do with the images. If you want to use a picture for PowerPoint presentations or view on a computer screen, then a 1 megapixel will be sufficient. This will also accomodate an image you want to project onto a screen (upto 8ft). If you want to print the images then the more the megapixels you have on the camera the clearer the picture will print. Currently 5 megapixels cameras offer a good quality level which will give sharp images on an A4 sheet.

Yes, you can. Since the DC4800 camera appears on the computer as a logical drive, in Picture Easy you can access the camera as you would access any other logical drive, such as C:\ or D:\ or E:\, etc. On the Picture Easy main screen, select the option for pictures from sources such as CD, Card Reader, or hard disk. Select the drive letter that represents the DC4800 camera.

In order to achieve clear images, appropriate color balance, and the smallest possible file sizes, our graphics department can edit your digital images. However, we are likely more experienced in providing high quality scanning. We will accept client-scanned images and digital photos. We do not teach scanning or image editing.

I have found it to be just as true for animals as it is for humans that one's body is a very, very important part of one's "self-identification" so it makes the transmit of ideas (from them to me) much more honed from their end if they detect that I "identify" them fully, that is, see or otherwise detect their physical form. There are many camera specs that are important to the end user, including size, resolution, sensitivity, frame rate, ease-of-use, cost etc. Different camera technologies often excel at different applications. Many manufacturers offer proprietary lithium ion battery systems with their cameras. These are very sophisticated batteries with very long life. Sony's Infolithium battery system is perhaps the best example of this technology. In addition to offering very long life, this system can give an accurate measurement of the amount of operating time left on a charge. The negative side of lithium ion battery systems is that these proprietary systems tend to be very expensive.

The features that make a good camera for product photography are not necessarily the features that are important for other types of photography like portraits or everyday family photos. That's not to say that the camera you choose for product photography won't work well for other uses, but you may weight the relative importance of the various features differently.

Camcorders can only be checked out for school projects with permission from the Audio-Visual Supervisor. Currently there are no digital cameras to check out. Tape recorders are for building use only.
