Approximately two thirds of the sheep on Hirta are dark (including black) and one third are tan or buff colored. RS: I usually work in white when I want the pop-ups to be viewed as just shapes. I don't think they really need to have any color to convey my creative vision. This works especially well with books that take place in the winter. If a book is more of an adventure, like "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" or needs color to convey information, as in "Encyclopedia Prehistorica: Dinosaurs" then I'll use lots of color.

I am able to photograph all weddings either digitally or with 35 mm film. The digital images are all captured in color and can later be converted to black & white or sepia tone in the printing process. If I shoot with film I usually shoot a combination of B&W and color, unless you request otherwise.

All of the frames used for Shrub filled topiaries are usually painted white so the figure stands out in the landscape as the shrub is filling it in. No. For any product that is printed on a white paper stock, there is no charge for white, which can be used as a background or reversed out of full ink coverage. We do not print any of our products with white ink.

Yes, we can convert all color images to black and white. You can also do this yourself with an image editing program. However, if a thumbnail appears as a black and white image, we cannot convert it to a full-color image.
