He is a veterinarian who has limited his practice to dental and oral surgery since 1991. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry (since 1994) and a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (since 1997). He is the first veterinarian in Ontario and the third in Canada to earn these credentials. He is one of fewer than 100 board-certified veterinary dental specialist in the world. He sees animals by referral from other veterinarians. His clinic is in Guelph, Ontario.

The Fraser Basin is the geographical area drained by the Fraser River and its tributaries. It stretches from Mount Robson in the east to the Nechako River in the west, and from Bulkley House in the north to the Fraser Valley in the south, covering about 238,000 square km (the size of Great Britain). The Fraser River, flows for 1,370km from its headwaters near Mount Robson to the Fraser River delta.

Speak to your doctor about your interest in the clinic. Patients who see a family practitioner, internist, or pediatrician regularly may still benefit from the services provided by the clinic. We recommend that survivors of childhood cancer have at least yearly contact with an oncologist or oncology nurse practitioner who understands their medical history and long-term needs. A visit to the clinic will introduce patients to providers who can address individual and family needs.

We are a smaller school. Our enrollment of less than 1100 allows for more students to be in a variety of leadership positions. Hale is "freshman friendly" ? We designed our 9th grade academies to create community for incoming students as they transition to high school. Our academy structure provides the most personalized education possible for our students. 9th graders spend the first half of their day with their academy teachers (health/science one quarter and language arts/social studies one quarter of each semester) and their cohort of academy students.

Seven years ago, we redesigned the high school experience for students at Hale because we firmly believed that there had to be more for students than what they were getting in our traditional model. We increased our expectations of our students, increased our graduation requirements and created a school environment where developing our students critical thinking skills became an essential part of our common vision. Teaching students to use their minds well is another of our core CES principles.

You should ask your regular veterinarian to refer you. He is available for messages seven days a week, and answers the phone himself as much as possible. In some cases, Dr. Hale may accept calls directly from owners, but he will want to talk to your regular veterinarian before proceeding with any treatment.

He treats all sorts of dental and oral problems in cats and dogs (he has even treated a South African Cape fur seal at the Toronto Zoo – but that is another story). The Fraser Basin Council is a not-for-profit, non-governmental, charitable organization, with a mandate to educate on the need for economic, environmental and social sustainability of the Fraser Basin. Though its projects, the Council encourages a good quality of life by helping decision-makers and residents make responsible decisions about how we live, work, and play in the Basin.

The Fraser Basin Council was established as a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization in 1997. The Council's predecessor, the Fraser Basin Management Board, was created by the federal, provincial and local governments to address sustainability issues and develop a strategic plan for the sustainability of the Fraser Basin. The Board created a draft Basin Plan, and circulated it for input.

The accomplishments of the Fraser Basin Council are extensive. In some cases, the Council has been able to facilitate significant progress in finding solutions to conflicts that reach back 30 or 50 years. The activities of the Council that have contributed to a more socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable Fraser Basin are detailed in the newsletters, Annual Reports and other reports released by the Council.

The Council is managed by a 36 member Board of Directors, including members from government, First Nations, and the private and non-profit sectors. The Board is supported by an Executive Director and staff located within the Basin's Vancouver and regional offices.

Occasionally, the Fraser Basin Council engages in projects outside of the boundaries of the Fraser Basin. There are two reasons that this might occur. First, because the plume of the Fraser River extends into Howe Sound, the activities in the Basin are closely linked to sustainability issues in the Squamish/Pemberton area, just outside of the Basin boundaries. For this reason, the Council may occasionally be requested to be engaged in projects in this area.

The headwaters of the Fraser River, where the river begins, is in Mount Robson Provincial Park in the Rocky Mountains near the Alberta border.

While there are no dams on the main stem of the Fraser River, some of the River's tributaries have been dammed. In particular, the Stave River, the Nechako River, and the Bridge River have been dammed primarily for the generation of hydroelectricity. In addition, much smaller dams can be found on smaller waterways throughout the Basin which serve various purposes such as irrigation for farmers.

The needles are soft and dark green with a distinctive silvery underside. The trees have a naturally elegant shape which is enhanced by shearing. Fraser firs are native to the Carolina mountains.
