All Region 1 DVDs include English subtitles. We try to include the Region information on the Product page for each DVD. We also try to include specific details on subtitles on the product page when this information is available to us.

Major Label recordings (eg, DG, Philips, Decca, EMI, SONY, RCA etc.) usually include an English libretto, although less expensive reissues may only have synopses. These labels also should include librettos: Harmonia Mundi, Chandos, CPO, Opera Rara, and others.

The video was captured with the first generation VacuCams™ on miniDV tape. These cameras didn't have audio, so I brought along a desktop 8 channel audio mixer and a professional Sennheiser shotgun mic with K6 module. Since this had a balanced XLR connector, I needed an XLR adapter for my miniDV camcorder. Since the mixer was expecting AC power, I had a 300Watt DC to AC converter on the floor behind me.

Yes, and when you rip the DVD movie please make sure you copy the right directory which contains the following files: VIDEO_TS.IFO、VIDEO_TS.VOB info files, and VTS_xx_x.IFO, VTS_xx_xx.VOB movie There are different DVD formats; some DVDs are using special formats cause the device not able to read the IFO file correctly. A possible solution is to use the conversion software to process the main movie files.

Subtitles can only be placed on top of the video. Placing the subtitles below the original video is possible by enlarging the video frame. This is done by adding black bars to the top and bottom of the video. These black bars will be visible when the video is not in fullscreen. They are different from black bars that are only visible during fullscreen playback. Those are not part of the video frame and thus can not be used to put the subtitles onto.
