A mage is one who has discovered how to bend the world to his will. He has, as the mages say, been "Awakened" to the fact that he can change the reality around him. The most-used and perhaps most apt metaphor for this is to think of the world as a tapestry (in fact, sometimes the universe is referred to as the Tapestry) and to assign the title of "mage" to one who knows how to pull and reweave the threads into a pattern they desire.

Mages are alot of fun and make are a important part of WoW! They do a BUNCH of damage and DPS. They have a low amount of armor but thats why they do alot of damage. They are made to defeat thier opponents before they get to them and if they get to them to impair their movement and then step back again. They also are made for doing alot of damage to multiple enemies.

A Dark Elf mage has a wide variety of choices. They can become a Shillien Oracle or a Wizard. The Shillein Oracle leads on to become a Shillien Elder, and the Wizard has a choice of a Phantom Summoner or a Spell Howler. If you would like to use powerful magic, choose a Dark Elf Magician.

Counterspell and Dispel Magic are fine for removing magical effects cast on someone by a caster who is empowered to cast spells via a magic item. They have no effect whatsoever on magical effects affecting the wearer of an always-on item. For instance, a Sickness arrow makes the target sick until the arrow is extracted, but a Sickness spell cast by a mage wielding a staff enchanted with Sickness can be Dispelled normally. No.

If a "mages only" item would produce an ongoing effect on the user (e.g., Flight), and has Power enough to reduce both its cost to cast and its cost to maintain to 0, then it will generate its magical effect at all times. As such, it is irrelevant who uses it. On the other hand, a "mages only" item that actually empowers the user to cast a spell (e.g., Deathtouch) will only ever work for a mage *even if energy cost is reduced to 0.

Hehe, seriously, for some reason they decided not to give players robes in Midgard although you will see NPCs wearing them. It may be added at a later date. I can't wait to see a Troll in a dress. Because we are Mages & our power is in our spells. You cannot expect to have powerful spells & wear Chain Armour, err… unless you play a Thane that is. (hehe j/k). We get a self only AF buff & a self only Absorb buff at varying levels. Keep them cast on you at all times.

No, this would create several problems within New Bremen. The Wraith game is primarily focused on those players who have dedicated their characters to the unique setting of the Shadowlands, and therefore, will be given priority. If deceased characters were to become Wraiths, the game would quickly revolve around revenge plots, and those players who have been dedicated to Wraith would be forced to take a background role.

A mage casts and learns spells through his own skills, knowledge, strength, study, background, etc. A cleric casts spells which are granted to him by his chosen God. With the older version, if you created a mage through the monster editor, the mage would flee at the first sign of combat. This was known as the "cowardly NPC bug", and was one of the things fixed in the update. With the older version of FRUA, the GOTO ENTRY POINT option does not seem to work right on either teleport or stair modes. Using GOTO POINT ROW X COLUMN Y works fine, though. When it is set to GOTO ENTRY POINT, it always goes back to entry point 1.

Yes and no. Because of the XP cap, a player's mage will not be high enough level at the end of the game to memorize 9th level spells from his spellbook. However, it will be possible to find scrolls with these spells which the character can use to cast the spell.

It's correct--at least as the card is currently phrased. In the above example, as it's intended, Heavy Armor (Full) would allow the runner to take 10 damage from the dracoform and the other 2 points would hove to go on another runner. The developers are undecided on where to go with this one. The way the card is phrased, might make it too powerful.

You aren't imagining things; there aren't many mages in the game and the ones that exist aren't all that great. And later in the game, when you're carting around enough wands to physically crack open the planet, believe you me, you will want at least one mage. However, be aware that bards can use mage wands. They should not be thought of simply as effete fighter/thieves with weaknesses in both classes. That's one way around the situation.

Well, since the scrolls don't list what spells they contain, here are the spells each has. The scrolls are listed, top to bottom, so that the first scroll in the list of scrolls will have the spells on it described under scroll 1 below.
