When downloading PDF files, be sure to right-click on the Download icon, then select the appropriate menu item from the pop-up menu. This will usually be something like "Save target as..." or "Save Link target as...". You will then be prompted to specify a filename and folder for saving the file to your hard drive. If you do open the PDF file in your browser by left-clicking on the Download icon, click on the "Save to disk" icon on the Acrobat toolbar displayed inside your browser window.

To view a PDF file, simply click on the PDF link. To save a PDF file to your computer, right-click on the PDF link and choose "Save target as" or "Save link as" from the menu. Note: You must have Adobe Acrobat® Reader® installed on your computer to view and download PDFs. You may download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat® Reader® software (provides access to view PDFs) by clicking here.

You have two choices. If you wish to retain this functionality for other purposes, you can still save the downloaded PDF file from within the PDF window by using the Acrobat Save button. If not, you have to do two things; (a) in Acrobat itself, select EDIT>PREFERENCES>GENERAL and under OPTIONS uncheck the box "Display PDF in Browser", then (b) if you are using Netscape, you will also have to disable the plugin file "nppdf32.dll" by either renaming it or moving it to another area.

Uploading to, and Downloading from Knowledge Centre is a simple task. All you have to do is select the file you wish to download from the available list of files and then click on the Download, and for uploading, you just have to click on the Upload File and then Browse the file you wish to upload and click OK.

PDF is an acronym for "Portable Document Format." PDF is a file format created by Adobe that lets you view and print a file exactly as the author designed it, without needing to have the same application or fonts used to create the file.

PDF stands for Portable Document Format. This is the preferred format for digital printers to print from. A PDF is a format that allows a document to be opened and printed by a Mac or a PC without changing the appearance of the document. When creating a PDF it is important to make sure that you embed all the fonts.

If you are having difficulty, check the PDF file and if it is working correctly, there may be a problem with your Adobe Acrobat configuration. For example, some people using Acrobat Reader 3.0 have experienced problems with files created in newer versions while in other cases, users may not have Adobe Acrobat installed or may not have it correctly configured to work with their web browser.

Open the PDF file in your browser window; save it with the browser's File > Save or Save as > command. Or without first looking at it in the browser, click on the link; click "Save this Link as." or "Save Target as." on the pop-up menu.

In many cases, the PDF documents we create are several hundred pages long. In addition, we may need to scan materials at higher resolutions based on the quality of our copies. Either situation will increase the size of the PDF file. By opening a large electronic document on your own computer, you decrease the odds of your computer crashing. Conversely, opening a large file across the internet may crash your computer.

It depends on both your Internet connect speed and the size of the PDF report you are downloading. A faster connection speed means you can download any PDF reports faster than a slower one.

It is possible that your Web browser is not configured properly to display PDF files. Please see the following article from Adobe: PDF pages don't appear in Web browser window.

You can configure the Pop-up Blocker so that pop-ups are allowed for this site by going into the Tools menu -- Pop-up Blocker -- Pop-up Blocker Settings. In the "Address of Web site to allow" section, enter the address for the Oracle system and click the Add button. If you want to re-enable pop-ups for all sites, go into the Tools menu -- Pop-up Blocker -- Turn-off Pop-up Blocker. Alternatively, you can go into the Tools menu -- Internet Options -- Privacy tab -- disable Pop-up Blocker.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is able to view PDF files and is available from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.

PC: Select the size below the icon representing the wallpaper you want for your desktop background. The image will open up in a new window. Right-click on this image and select "Set as Background." Mac: Click on the size you need, under the image you want. After the new window opens, ctrl + click on the image and choose "Save This Image to the Desktop." Open "System Preferences" in the Applications folder, and choose "Desktop & Screensaver" under Personal.

explained in the answer to the previous question, the server is responsible for identifying a document's media type properly, and the browser is responsible for deciding how to handle the document (based on its media type). There is no way for a web author to override the way the browser is configured to handle any given type of file. Most browsers allow the user to download to disk if they want to.

This problem usually occurs because there is not a MIME type defined for that file. For instance, WordPerfect often saves files with a .wpd extension. If a MIME type is not configured for this extension, Netscape will try to display it on-screen, instead of prompting you to save it as a file. To correct this problem, just send mail to the WWW Administrator with the type of file (e.g., "WordPerfect") and the extension (e.g., ".wpd").

In your Internet browser, clicking a file opens a window that gives you the option to Open or Save the file. You may need to specify a name for the file in the File name field. For example, if the file is called assignment 1 (attachment).doc.attch change the file name to assignment1.doc

PDF ("Portable Document Format") files require Adobe's Acrobat or Acrobat Reader installed in your PC, for your browser to open it. If you are connected to the Internet, you may download Acrobat Reader freely from www.adobe.com. This product's installation CD includes a Windows-compatible version which you may install and/or distribute freely any time.

First, your browser or Adobe Acrobat Reader may be low on memory. If you can see the hard drive light flashing on your computer, please be patient for a minute or so and wait to see if the PDF document loads. Second, if the hard drive light is not flashing and you’ve waited a minute or so, you probably have an older version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

We only support the uploading and download of the file. We cannot help with reading the file. Try contacting the person who sent you the file to find out what program you need to open the file with. You may need to update the software you are using to open the file or you should contact the publisher of the software directly. With Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don't have this installed you can install it from G:\Software and Drivers\Acrobat.

Documents marked .PDF are saved in Portable Document Format. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view all PDF files. The Acrobat Reader software is available for downloading free of charge from the Adobe website. The free Reader allows you to view, navigate, and print PDF files across all major computing platforms. The PDF file opens within the browser window, replacing the page containing the link to the PDF file. This means you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in installed. (Use the browser "Back" button to return to the page that contained the link) The PDF file opens in an Adobe Acrobat Reader application window - your browser continues to display the page containing the link to the PDF file. This means you have Adobe Acrobat Reader configured as a Helper Application for your browser.

Some of the documents on this site have a .pdf extention. You can open and view .pdf files with Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download it for free at Adobe's Website.
