Parents with more than one child at Mid-Pacific Institute should apply for financial aid for both children. Families with multiple children at Mid-Pacific are given financial aid consideration.

The Local Education Authority has a duty to take legal action agains parents/carers whose child(ren) do not attend school other than for a legitimate reason. Parents are responsible for giving appropriate notice when they plan on changing providers. This is a general practice with private-pay parents. Yes. Students who complete our two year University Studies program are able to transfer to universities in British Columbia. Our professional academic advisors will assist your child to select courses. This selection will be guided by the educational goal and the university he or she plans to attend. NIC students who transfer to a university after taking University studies are academically ready for university study. Our instructors are Ph. D and Masters prepared.

Future Leaders Summit participants will be able to earn high school credits through the program's course of study. In order to receive credit, students are required to conduct pre-travel research, keep a detailed journal and submit a final paper. All required assignments must be submitted for grading within three weeks of the program's conclusion.

No, you do not need to attend the class with your child. There is a waiting area at the Main Location for parents and siblings to wait in or you are welcome to drop your child off and come back when the class is over.

Pacific Coach Lines, children under the age of 12 are not permitted to travel without a parent or guardian under any circumstance. All passengers must disembark the bus during the ferry sailing, and unfortunately, our bus driver's cannot take a supervisory role. Youth who are 12 years of age or older are permitted to travel without an adult, but Pacific Coach Lines reserves the right to request identification if the passenger looks too young to travel alone.

Yes, state law requires that your child attend school while in detention, even if he or she has graduated or has received a GED. Yes, religious activities are offered regularly and participation in them is strictly voluntary. Parents or an assigned probation officer may make special arrangements during business hours through CJDH administrative staff for individual religious counseling. In most cases, no. Your child’s transfer may be automatically renewed, allowing him or her to continue at the same school as long as it has his or her next grade within its grade structure. However, if your child has experienced behavior or attendance problems, the principal of the school may want to meet with you to discuss denying the renewal of your transfer for the upcoming school year.

Sometimes a child may not feel comfortable going to class until they have spent some time in the church in the company of their parents. Children are welcome to remain in the sanctuary until they are ready to go class. Parents are welcome to accompany their children to their classes until things are more familiar to them. Some preschoolers prefer to stay in the nursery a little longer and that is fine as well. They can move into the preschool class when they are ready.

No! Each child at Kinma is allowed to learn and progress at their own pace. Learning experiences for your child would be planned around his own individual needs, interests and abilities. Research shows that learning is a developmental process. It is unrealistic to expect children to learn to walk or talk at the same time.
