How should I clean the water bottle - it's looking very manky ?

Guinea Pig / Cavy FAQ #2
My preferred method is to put about 20 raw grains of rice in the empty bottle then put about an inch of water in, put the cap back on, put my thumb over the end of the spout and shake the bottle vigorously - then empty the bottle out into a sieve [and dispose of rice grains into bin] and your bottle will be sparkling clean - you can clean the spout with a pipe cleaner or cotton bud. Clean any calcium deposits with white vinegar or similar.

Why Such A Funny-Looking Bottle?

Frequently-Asked Questions
We don't call it "funny". We call it "pocket-sized". We actually thought about the bottle long and hard. We wanted something that could slide into a shirt pocket, fit in a tool belt, and stand up to being squeezed, all while looking good. We even thought about how much Bee-Quick a typical beekeeper would need in a season, and how much everyone dislikes storing things between seasons. We tried to create the best-packaged product since comb honey!

Where should I get the water to fill my new bottle?

Frequently Asked Questions
Many grocery stores, water stores, and water vending machines sell filtered water for between 25 and 45 cents per gallon. This is a very economical way to enjoy water that is filtered to remove dangerous chemicals and metals, and it usually tastes much better than tap water. If you have a water filtration system on your home or office faucet, you may fill the glass bottles yourself to use as storage for an emergency. Storing water in glass will keep your water free from harmful chemicals.

You bet. The polycarbonate plastic won't absorb flavors, smells or colors (so you won't have to worry that today's milk will taste like yesterday's lemon-aid). But why stop there: you can also stuff it with first aid supplies, a dry t-shirt or socks, camera or cell phone. Remember: it's water-tight???. and it floats!

How much water does it take to clean a bird?

IBRRC: Frequently asked questions
The amount of water used depends on the size of the bird, how badly it is oiled and the bird. One pelican can use as many as 300 gallons of water. During the "Tenyo Maru" oil spill we cleaned 700 birds and used 1,000,000 gallons of water. Much of that was in the pools we need to swim the birds after they have been cleaned.

Why is CamelBak better than a water bottle?

Care and Use/FAQs
It's much more convenient than reaching down for a bike bottle or digging out from the bottom of your pack. This means you drink more water, more often, which is vital to performance and enjoyment. During a workout, your body absorbs water more efficiently when you sip in small amounts frequently vs. stopping and loading up with fluid. It's more efficient to carry water on your body. A bike, for example, is more responsive when it's kept light.

Why do you strike the water bottle fifty times after making a remedy?

Eagle Research LLC | Bruce Taylor CEO | Frequently Asked Que...
This is referred to as succussion. This striking of the bottle further dilutes the remedy thereby making it somewhat stronger (least is best). You do this fifty times when you first make the remedy. If using the remedy the next day, next month, etc., you then strike the bottle just twenty times in the morning and use it all day. When the fluid is down to 1/3rd in the bottle you fill the bottle again with distilled water and hit it fifty times. Back to Top | Back to FAQ

How do I keep the drain bottle clean?

Welcome to MedSpan
You Don't. Due to hand piece oils and lubricants, ans other foreign matter, the bottle will usually turn color over time. If an office wants to add Lysol liquid for piece of mind, that is fine as long as they understand that the bottle will still turn color over time. Since the plastic bottle is porous, it will always be hard to clean. A glass bottle would be the answer for cleaning, but it owld be difficult to ship and keep from breaking.

I don't want to have my Maltese drink from a water bottle. Could certain bowls cause staining?

Maltese tear, eye & face stain - Frequently Asked Questions ...
Yes, some plastic bowls will cause discoloring of the face. A stainless steel bowl is best. Stainless steel is bacteriostatic, it doesn't chip or crack and is easy to keep clean. The main ingredient in a Tum is calcium. An argument that Tums could help is that it will change the pH of the tears. We personally tried Tums on two of our Maltese for a six month period by giving them a-half-a-Tum-a-day. We saw no improvement whatsover. You could try it but don't expect a miracle.

Will the 3-gallon glass bottle be too heavy when it's filled with water?

Frequently Asked Questions
Our 3-gallon glass bottle, when filled with water, weighs about 35 pounds, which is about 10 pounds heavier than a full 3-gallon plastic jug and 10 pounds lighter than a full 5-gallon plastic jug. The design of our 3-gallon glass bottle makes it much more manageable than a full 5-gallon plastic jug. If you are concerned that the 3-gallon glass bottle will be too heavy, you may want to purchase several 1-gallon glass jugs instead. They are especially functional for traveling.

Should I bring a bottle of water into class with me?

Yoga Den Health Spa FAQ
We practice yoga in a heated room, breathe in a certain way, and practice particular poses to heat the body both internally and externally. We do this in order to detoxify as well as to protect the muscles and joints, since warm muscles are less likely to incur injury. Drinking water during class cools the body and reverses the heat we are trying to generate. Unless you are pregnant or have a medical condition, you should save your water for before and after class.
