A Family Readiness Group includes all members of a unit and their families. This includes but is not limited to spouses, parents, significant others, children, friends, retirees and relatives. Participation is voluntary.

many of you may know, Tactical Gamer is a rather large community that encompasses far more than our guild, and far more than this one game. TG has over 3,000 members, and boasts numerous resources that it makes available to its members: Multiple game servers, Teamspeak, forums, and development are just a few of the many awesome things that TG provides for us. Without our supporting members, Tactical Gamer would simply cease to exist.

A member is a large majority-owned corporation that pays local dues to a regional Council in which it is headquartered (local member), or that pays NMSDC dues and allocates service points to regional Councils whose services they utilize (national member). Newsletters have long been the most effective means of communication for FRG’s and have usually been mailed monthly or quarterly, depending on the amount of information that needs to be passed on to the families. If your unit is deployed you will most likely need to be produced monthly. If your unit is not deployed, there may not be as much “news” to pass along and therefore you may only need to send it out quarterly.

Incidence is the number of new cases of disease in a defined group of people over a specific time. Prevalence is the number of existing disease cases in a defined group of people during a specific time period. Public health professionals use prevalence measures to track a condition over time and to plan responses at local, regional, and national levels. Incidence is very difficult to establish because the exact time a person develops an ASD is not known.

Quick serve taps are used in conjunction with our Cubitainer Packaging system. The quick serve tap screws onto the Cubitainer liner and allows for exact flow control from the container to the measuring apparatus. We have been informed from more than one customer that they line up their Cubitainers with the quick serve tap attached on a workbench and then simply walk “down the line” measuring out each oil as they go!

In an attempt to address a commonly asked question about the “softness” of shea butters, we have developed a simple, but effective means of comparison. The “softness scale” compares each type of shea butter with a common stick of household table butter both at room temperature.

Synchronous communication refers to interaction happening in real-time – a meeting or phone conference, for example.  Asynchronous communication happens anytime and doesn’t rely on being together at the same time – in person or electronically.  E-mail is a good example of asynchronous communication.  Unlike e-mail, asynchronous message boards allow an online discussion to be well-organized into threads.  It is a common technique used in online learning.

Students enter the Professional Education Program (last two years) as a member of a cohort. This means that students move through the program together as a group. The block program means that each student in the cohort registers for 15 semester hours (see curriculum). Each student will take 5 classes per semester, and work in the schools two days per week.

All of the specific course grading percentages include a line for course investment. Course investment is the only component of the grade where I can reward you for effort and the time you put into the course. The largest components of course investment are attendance and speaking up in class, since coming to class prepared to discuss the readings every time requires quite a lot of time and effort. Minor or ungraded assignments may also be incorporated into the course investment grade.

Examples from the past: breaking an arm in week 9, resulting in difficulty typing and a lot of time under pain medication. Anything that has produced University or medical paperwork and results in 3 or more absences probably qualifies as an extreme condition.

Of course...and 30% of NHS students are Pre-Health in some capacity. NHS offers many Pre-Health Professional options. The Healthcare Management and Policy major focuses on the business/administration side of health. The Human Science major focuses on the public health and research side of health. The International Health major focuses on the global issues surrounding health. And the Nursing major focuses on the clinical aspects of health.
