Is there an issue with Internet Partners refusing email from certain servers?? I have a few people who can not email me. In most cases where people are have problems sending you email the senders email server is configured incorrectly, and it can serve as a security risk to everyone on the internet. We at Internet Partners are willing to work with the administrators of these servers to help solve this problem.

This means that SpamCop found an email address to complain to, but it was invalid. If you find a more-correct place to report spam issues for the email in question, you may report these updates to deputies@admin.spamcop.net. Please do not send email unless you can provide a working abuse address where none was found before. You must confirm that the new address is correct and responsive to spam reports before you ask SpamCop to use it.

We know there are many reasons why email bounces back to us. Sometimes it is the fault of the ISPs, or sometimes our members' mail boxes exceed their allotted quota, or the member has changed email addresses without telling us. When this happens, we place your account On Hold for 30 days to give you enough time to re-establish connections and tell us that your email now works. AOL will make every effort to deliver a message to your recipient, but does not have any control over a message once it leaves the AOL service. If your recipient is not with AOL, have check with their provider in an effort to figure out what happened to your message. To "decline" on someone's behalf, simply click on the "pending" status next to their email/name in your invitation list. You'll see a button "decline". It is a common feature of the many email viruses currently populating the Internet to forge their identities and send themselves out to every email address (and everything that even looks like an email address) that it can find -- in order to insure maximum infection. AOL does not handle multiple attachments per message in a very useful manner. Multiple attachments are combined using MIME encoding. This is most easily avoided by asking your correspondent to include only one attachment per message (using BASE64 encoding) and turn off any additional HTML formatting. Multiple attachments can be safely compressed together, and you can decompress them on your end (in many cases the AOL software will do this automatically).

Handling bounced emails is an automatic proces. If an email bounces due to an user who is unkown as recipient, the email address will be deleted from your database and the bounced counter will raise with one. If a timeout occures, Newsletter Administrator will try for to deliver your newsletter for 2 days when it not succeeds the email address will be deleted from your database and your bounce counter will raise with one.

One of the worst jobs in the world is enforcing courtesy. Usually, it's much easier for the enforcer to throw out courtesy in full and instead adopt hard-and-fast rules and apply them without mercy. However, this tends to lower the number of BTUs of happiness in the world, puts everyone on edge and punishes mistakes or ignorance as harshly as open disregard. In short, removing courtesy makes the world worse.

If you are a registered user and are logged in, you can send another registered user a private email by clicking on his/her user name (e.g. in one of his/her posts). After clicking on the user name, you may see a ‘Send me a Private Message’ link. Click on that link and fill in the subject and text window with your message. Click the Send button

Lately, people find their automatic responses are being reported as spam or blocked. These "auto-responders" respond indiscriminately to forged and legitimate email. Spam and virus messages are almost invariably forged so as to appear to be "from" an unrelated third party. When an auto-responder receives one of these forged messages, they in turn send misdirected mail. Because of this, they become spam sources themselves and are the subject of blockades.

Bounces are a tricky thing with email marketing because there are so many factors. There are 2 types of bounces: Soft - The recipient's mail server is temporarily unable to accept your email. This usually happens when the intended recipients's mailbox is full, or if the mail server is unable to be reached. Hard - The recipient's mail server could not accept the email because the user doesn't exist on that domain. This usually indicates a mis-typed email address.

Hit the "Private Message" icon, and a message box will pop up. Type the intended user chat handle and a message, then press the "Send" button. The user you specify will see your message, but others in the room will not. You may select multiple users to recieve the private message.

First make sure what you have received is a bounced message and not your blind carbon copy. A bounce notice will contain a message from the volunteer's ISP indicating that either the recipient's mailbox is full, or is an 'unknown user.' Your blind carbon copy looks like a regular message dropping into your inbox. If your message does contain an ISP service message then please contact us. We would appreciate it if you could copy the ISP's service message into the text area of the contact form.

Sadly, people change their email addresses and don't always remember to let me know about it. The most current info I have is on the page. There's also a date associated with each entry that corresponds to the last time that person's entry was updated. If you tell me about the bouncing email, I can at least note on the page that the address appears to be bad. Other than that, there's really nothing I can do about info that goes stale.

Bulk email facilities are not available on this site, such facilities would put our members at risk from unsolicited Spam emails.

Make sure your domain name servers are pointed to Broadjam's servers. To do this you will need to contact the company you registered your domain name through (e.g. godaddy.com, registrar.com, etc.), or if you have an account with them you may be able to make these changes through your online account. You will need to request that the domain name servers (DNS) be pointed to NS1.BROADJAM.NET and NS2.BROADJAM.NET.

When I set up a reminder with RemindMe, the confirmation screen and email shows a different date than the one I chose!

A bounce happens when your email doesn’t get to its destination ands it “bounces” back to our system. There are 2 types of bounces – hard bounces and soft bounces. A hard bounce happens when an email is sent to a bad email address. A soft bounce happens for temporary reasons such as the recipient’s email server is down, mailbox is full, or some other reason.

There are two ways to send messages to other CowTownDance members. First, you can browse to a message posted by the individual you want to contact. To send anonymous email from your own email program, send email to:Username@PositiveSingles.com. If you want to use another email address of yours, change it first at My Account after login. To reply to email from other PositiveSingles.com users: just hit "reply" at your email account! When you reply to a Username@PositiveSingles.com, your real email address will be removed. The recipient will see only: YourUserName@PositiveSingles.com.

Problems sending and receiving mail are rarely related. See FAQ Questions 1 and 2 for information on how to track down each end of the problem. If the problem affects one particular service, then it's possible that there is a communications block between that service and AOL. Try contacting that service's Postmaster to see if they are aware of problems both sending mail to and receiving mail from AOL.
