There is a fixed limit on the number of emails you can maintain on the server at any one time of 1000. This means that if you are using POP3 and not removing your emails from the server you will hit the limit. Also, if you are using webmail, you will need to periodically clean out old messages. The 1000 email limit is for all folders and regardless of the size of the email messages.

The email system will notify you when you reach certain thresholds. The mailbox limitation is configured as follows: MB Prohibit Send and Receive: You will not be able to send mail and any mail sent to you will bounce back to the sender.

Windows Live Mail currently provides 2,000 megabytes (2 gigabytes) of storage for email and calendar content. This should be enough for all of the important email you receive while a student at the University.
