There are several connection methods available, such as (ranging from bad to good) RF (antenna), CVBS (composite video), Y/C (seperated chroma and brightness information, sometimes referred to as Hi-8 or SVHS) and RGB (component video for each of the red, green and blue color components). If available use RGB, which is available on most European players as a SCART- or Euroconnector.

Many home DVD players can not play back certain burned DVD discs. Whether a recorded DVD will work in a DVD player depends on the player. Multi-format DVD players will likely play all formats except the DVD-RAM cartridges. DVD-R media may have the fewest problems with playback in older players. Check to see if the DVD writer can read the disc. If there is DVD player software installed, use that and try to watch the DVD.

When using the TV's input you must change the TV to the correct Video or Input Mode to get the picture. ? For example RCA uses a button on the remote that says INPUT under the number 7 Sony uses a button that says TV/VIDEO On Zenith you need to go thru the menu to find the AUX mode.

No, this is a computer CD. It will not play on a DVD player that is not part of a computer. They use different coding. That is a difficult question to answer. At the moment, it is not easy to do. There are two different standards for burning DVD's, a DVD+ and a DVD- . Some DVD's will read only +'s, some only -'s and some will read both. Then there is a layering, how the data is laid down on the disk. Not all DVD's players will read the layering the same.
