In order to keep costs down, we cannot do personalization on any of our covers. Even if you were willing to pay extra, it still isn't possible. The gilt lettering of a name personalization must be pressed on with heat, and this can only be accomplished before the actual cover has been sewn together when the leather is still "in the raw." Therefore it is not possible add on a name after the cover has been produced.

Most publishing services set the price of your book based on page count, and you have no say in the matter. Xlibris prices a 200-page book at $21.95, while iUniverse says "you'll only know once your manuscript has been submitted and gone through production". Imagine a reader's reaction when they see $21.95 on the cover of your 200-page book. That's an awfully big hurdle for a slim paperback when everything around it is priced between $12 and $16.

Putting the pages together, called a book block, is relatively simple as you are working with a set page size, usually 8-1/2"x11" or 5-1/2"x8-1/2". Front and back cover images should be the same size.
