If you're too lazy to read, use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Maxell High Grade (DVD+R's). The PS2 laser is picky, these are the only three types of media you should trust for maximum reliability and compatibility with your PS2. Avoid Memorex, Staples, Imation, Dynex, Princo, Bulqpaq, etc. If you really want to do the PS2 backup thing right, pick up some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim's. First you'd need to download Paradox's Console ID Changer: SKS Apps Then you'd need to find a valid PS2/ilink ID for the region you wish to play online games with.
