License plate requirements vary state by state, but many states require your vehicle’s rear license plate to be visible at all times. We include a License Plate Kit (Item #020.7) free with our Swingaway carriers, otherwise it is an optional accessory item. The License Plate Kit mounts to your Cargo Carrier box and plugs directly into the StowAway2 wire harness.

Our ATV License Plate Kit does not make your ATV street legal. Some states do allow ATV's to be used on the road when outfitted with the proper equipment. However, the ATV License Plate Kit is for displaying your off- road registration decal and/or assigned numbers on the back of your ATV.

PennDOT offers a person with disability plate that provides parking privileges and they offer a person with disability parking placard. (The placard hangs on the vehicle's rear view mirror and provides the same parking privileges as the person with disability plate.) Unfortunately, they are unable to offer specialty plates with the handicapped insignia on it. A customer can apply for a PA Breast Cancer Coalition plate and apply for a person with disability parking placard.

The eGO Cycle 2 that we ship in the US does not have a license plate holder because there are only a few states that require a license plate. In those states, the simple solution is to hang the license plate from the saddle rails or springs. Two plastic cable ties work well.

Your temporary overnight parking exemption is vehicle specific. Your vehicle license plate number MUST be clearly visible on your exemption so that parking enforcement knows that the exemption belongs on your vehicle. If your license plate information is not visible and legibly printed (TOPEO) or written (TOPEK) or you fail to display the exemption properly you may receive a citation.

The PBCC sends applications to PennDOT in batches around the 15th and the 30th of each month. Once PennDOT receives an application it takes about 6 weeks until the license plate arrives in your mailbox. Why? Because these specialty plates are not pre-made. Make sure you are installing the ATV License Plate Kit in the proper area. The proper area should be your grab rail in the back of your quad or the luggage rack. If the clamps are still too small, try removing the rubber grommets that are wrapped around each clamp. Yes, some assembly is required prior to using a StowAway2 Cargo Carrier. Our Swingaway models ship in two separate boxes. Our fixed frame models ship in one box. All of our carriers come with the necessary hardware for assembly. Assembling a carrier for the first time takes roughly 30 - 45 minutes. We recommend two people be present for assembly and installation of the carrier.

Yes! Our frames can be inverted, so that the larger line is on top, and the smaller line is on the bottom. Keep in mind that the screws must also be on the bottom of your license plate. To order an inverted frame, select "Inverted" in the frame orientation section of our ordering form.

Yes, you must run a front plate. You are not supposed to have it on your dash, it must be on your bumper. According to ICBC you cannot cover the plate with anything, and you can't modify it in any way. Some say it's safe to bend or fold the plate as long as you don't cover the numbers.
