We do permit non-degree candidates, on a limited basis, to enroll in some of our classes. By providing a range of courses, we have the ability to enroll people who are considering the program or who simply want to take a specialized course. Every federally funded program is required to report enrollment/participation information. The Corrections Learning Network and the National Institute of Corrections and programs from other cooperating agencies are no exception. Every time you facilitate a course from the Corrections Learning Network (via satellite, DVD, or videotape), enrollment figures must be reported. Anyone can enroll. With the permission of a principal or counselor and the course instructor, high school students may enroll in a University Correspondence course.

First year courses are predetermined. However, in the second and third years of law school students are free to choose from a wide variety of elective courses ranging from Historic Preservation Law, Admiralty, and Sports Law to Accounting for Lawyers and Poverty Law. Ample opportunities for outside study are also available to second and third year students including various internships and clinics. The Learning Springs has made the process of enrolling as easy as possible. After choosing courses and the number of students to enroll, the Learning Springs will train a coordinator at your school who will manage the students locally, allowing your school to retain as much control as you need. The coordinator will be able to easily and quickly set up teachers, assign students and courses to them, and manage the online curriculum.

Any Appleton Area School District student grades nine through twelve may request enrollment in eSchool courses. Any student choosing to take an AP course that is not available in their building may request enrolment in an APEX course facilitated through the eSchool A student may request an on-line course to recover a previously failed course, to take a course not available at their site, as an extension of their schedule, or as a result of a schedule conflict.

Although many students are likely to begin a course at the beginning of a semester, students can request enrollment in online courses on a rolling enrollment basis from September through February. Placement will be based on the availability within the requested course.

LCpl's and below can enroll in a maximum of 3 MOS (single book) courses at one time. Marine Cpl's and above can enroll in 1 PME (multiple course) program and 3 MOS courses at the same time. Students who wish to register in classes that conflict should stop by the Registrar's Office and pick up a time conflict card and discuss how you feel you can accommodate both courses with the faculty members involved. The card is orange to distinguish it from the yellow add/drop card. It requires that the conflicting courses be listed with both instructors' signatures and signed by the student's adviser.

There is no limit on the number of courses a student in which may enroll. Experience indicates a student should initially enroll in one or two courses to develop a sense of the skills required to successfully study via correspondence. Registration for Elderhostel is handled through Elderhostel’s national office in Boston. For most programs, a person can register by telephone, FAX, in-person or on-line. Any US citizen with an undergraduate degree is eligible to enroll in these courses. At this time, international students are not eligible.
