Very young children are not well suited to safaris but from 5 years or so, children are fabulous safari companions. Certain lodges cater specifically to children, (some specifically do not), many have swimming pools, offer specially trained rangers who will look after the children, and baby sitters to allow the parents to fully enjoy the vacation too. It is easy to pack for your safari.
