The WS-100 is not a music player. The tracks are stored as files in a mass storage device. The firmware in the recorder cannot find or play the music files.

Ctrax provides licenses to your songs so you have permission to play them. At some point after you download the songs, they need to re-check the licenses to see if you still have permission to play them (usually every 30 days). To make sure that your licenses are up to date, please follow these directions. First simply close Windows Media Player and open it; this usually refreshes the licenses. However, if this doesn't work then, restart your computer. After restarting open and login to Ctrax.

Some non-PC players can't handle CD-R and/or CD-RW media. If the audio disc can be played on the PC that created it, then the software did it's job. Please check with your player manufactrer for compatibility with your specific brand, type and speed rating of the blank media.

There is a substantial difference between CD-ROM discs and CD-R or CD-RW discs. Because of this, there must be differences in the drives used to read these different types of media. Most currently available CD players are capable of reading CD-R and CD-RW discs, but some older models were only designed for use with commercially produced CD-ROM discs. It may be possible to play some brands of CD-R discs in these older players, but we cannot guarantee success.

The Real Player application is currently not compatible with the web browser FireFox. However, as a workaround users can right click on the Play Button which is located under each video/audio files on Patriots.com and select copy shortcut. The user can then past the URL directly into the Real Player application.

Please check to see if your Real Player is updated with the most current version available. Follow the instructions in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article. There is one step that should be added to that article that is not there currently - before deleting the Windows Media DRM folder, you need to close any programs that might be holding files in that folder in use. Specifically, make sure to close Media Player and Media Center, and run the command net stop ehRecvr to stop the Media Center Recording service immediately prior to trying to delete that folder.

Your IKTV Music Video CD player will play audio CDs, mp3 CDs and, of course, video CDs. You'll be able to sing along to all your favorite songs.

For audio/music CDs, you'll want to work with CD-R rather than CD-RW because you can't play CD-RW discs in normal audio/music CD players.

You recorded it on a CD-RW disk. Most newer computer drives read these fine. Very few audio players will read them at all. You recorded the CD as a data CD or as a multi-session CD. Audio players will only read audio CDs, and even on audio CDs, they will only recognise the first "session". Computer drives, OTOH, can cheerfully read data CDs, and can read CDs recorded in multiple sessions.

Make sure you are using CD-R disks, not CD-RW disks - very few CD audio players can recognise CD-RW disks at all. Make sure you are burning single session audio CDs with your software - audio CD players won't, for the most part, recognise data CDs or multi-session CDs. If you are burning single-session audio CDs on CD-R media and they still won't play on your audio CD players, then I'm afraid it looks as if your burner just can't produce disks that your audio players can read.
