Okay I've got a question for people running Vista. I installed the beta 2 version, and I liked it...one problem it didn't show any of my disc drives; cd or dvd. So I unistalled it, after RC1 came out I reinstalled it. Well, it would show my cd drive then, but still no dvd drive. So I've uninstalled again, I've yet to put RC2 on. Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced this, and I've installed the latest firmware updates for both drives.

It seems, that modern flash chips can endure 100.000 - 1.000.000 delete/write cycles before they are starting to fail. And I guess in the WRT54G, Linksys is not using the most expensive flash memory.

Let me know if you can find a workaround other than installing Plus!. My question to Microsoft: Why did you guys put Compression Agent in OSR2, and then disable it in this way? The linux partitionn will remain there but LILO (if you have it on the MBR) will be overwritten by Windows and the LILO prompt will not appear on bootup. You will need to boot into Linux using a bootdisk (or loadlin) and run 'lilo -v' from there to replace LILO back on the MBR after installing Windows!

During the initial setup of Windows NT, NTFS partitions are not really created: they're converted. That is, NT first formats the partition as FAT, then later converts it to NTFS during the final stages of the installation. There are a couple workarounds.
