Campers may request to be housed with a friend if they wish. The request is required to appear on both campers’ forms. Frequently one camper requests another without discussing it first. If the request is not agreeable with both children (and their parents), it can create an unhappy situation between all parties on arrival day. If you are requesting that your child not be placed with a certain child, it is your responsibility to inform the other family prior to arrival at camp.

Prior to the start of camp you will receive a bunking request card. We honor all requests that are submitted. In the event we were not able to honor your request you would be contacted before your child arrives to work out a feasible solution for all involved.

On the spring camper forms you may specify one cabin mate request. We will do our best to accommodate these requests. Only requests indicated on the form will be considered. Late requests (after paperwork deadline) will not be considered.

If you wish for your child to be on a friend's team, please make this request on the registration form. Every effort will be made to accomodate your request prior to team formation. Once teams have been formed, rosters are final.

No problem. Each of our cabins sleep 22 campers. During registration, we suggest campers save a bunk for a friend, if they have a specific request. If for some reason they get separated, counselors will help everybody get where they want to be prior to lights out the first night of camp.

Many of our campers take multiple camps. Campers may choose to enroll in as many additional camp weeks as they would like to maximize their learning experience and fun! There is an additional fee of $100 per night for resident campers who stay for the weekends between consecutive camps. This fee covers room and meals. Campers staying over between sessions are fully supervised and participate in organized activities.

No. Only women who enrolled by completing the first BWHS questionnaire in 1995 may participate in the BWHS. The study design involves following the same women over a long period. Fortunately, the information obtained from the BWHS will be useful to African-American women whether or not they have participated in the study.

Camp War Eagle does not accept cabin requests. Children are grouped together in cabins based upon their age and grade.

Not all families experiences of head lice is the same way. Some kids are untroubled whilst others seem to be cursed. We have experienced both situations with our two children, one was a head lice free zone, the other a magnet. There may be many reasons such as; who your kids play with, how they interact with other kids i.e. do they cuddle up to their friends a lot. Some kids also get a lot more lice than their own brothers and sisters and friends in the same class.

Lower Campus: These arrangements are not permitted at the Lower Campus. Students at the Lower Campus who wish to make play dates should do so independent of school. Yes, as long as your friend is close to the same age as you. We arrange the tent and activity groups so that people of about the same age are together. This lets younger or older groups plan activities to suit what they want to do. There is a place on the Information Form we ask you to send to us that lets you give us the name of a person of approximately the same age you would like to have in your group.

We do not honor requests to pair individual players together, or to put a player on a desired coach's team (with the exception of a coach's child, who will automatically be assigned to that team). Club personnel form each team based on player age, gender and skill level so that teams will be well balanced against each other. We believe that this also benefits our players by giving them more opportunities to meet new friends and to learn from a variety of coaches.

Initially, when a family member or a friend tells another person that their child has been diagnosed with an ASD, most people don't know what to say. It is hard enough for the parents to receive this diagnosis, let alone to tell their family and friends. Often parents have reacted to the diagnosis by crying; feeling surprise, devastation, or helplessness; and/or by seeking out additional information on autism.

We cannot guarantee campers be placed together in the same activity group depending on enrollment numbers for the week. If your camper has a problem with the group he or she is in we can adjust according to their needs. Always remember, part of the fun about camp is making new friends that you would not have met otherwise if you both had not come to camp.
