The Muppet CD's have been out of print since 1993, and even then very few copies were available. That's why it often costs more than a $100 to get those rare CD's like The Muppet Movie on auction sites such as eBay. Henson has had a lot of trouble getting a record deal the past few years and that's why those discs are so tough to get. A new Muppet anniversary CD has been released which includes tracks from the Muppets six feature films and the Muppet Show.

Unfortunately, Muppet soundtracks are almost impossible to find. The "Muppet Movie" and "Great Muppet Caper" soundtracks were last released 1993 and quickly went entirely out-of-print. The soundtracks to "Muppets Christmas Carol" & "Treasure Island" are also out-of-print and very hard-to-find. Copies can be found via Ebay.

So far three CDs have been released and are listed below. If you can't find these albums at your local music store, you can order them by visiting the online store on this site.

However, it took until 1997, when Paul achieved international fame, for his voice to find its way to a CD. The Due South soundtrack appeared in 1996, featuring "Ride Forever" as one of its tracks. Paul sang this song on the episode "All the Queen's Horses.

It was originally only released as part of an LP box set, Working Backwards 1984-1974. Much of the material is overlapping with Apollo, though. MFF II hasn't been released on cd intact, though many tracks do appear on the recent Instrumental Eno box set.

Some labels & publishers prefer CD & DAT. A CD is very impressive in your submission package. We can present your CD to distributors for licensing. Artists must provide us with CDs. We will include them in your presentation. DAT is the best format for those who are looking to publish music.

Millbrook USA was released (February 2003) there will be no new studio cd soon. June 2004 recordings were made for Naked III, a new acoustic live album which was also released on DVD. Whenever there will be new recordings for a new studio album, I will mention this here. A new album is being recorded in several studio sessions and release is planned for 2007 according to George Kooymans in a German 2006 interview. A new live dvd\cd was released in November 2006 (Live in Ahoy 2006).

Optical soundtracks (we mentioned them earlier). Almost all of the release formats, including the digital ones have provision for some kind of optical soundtrack, even if only as a backup. The optical soundtrack refers to the two-channel soundtrack that is carried on the optical track of the film release print.

If you expect to receive performance royalties, all you have to do is make sure your work is registered with BMI. However, this does not mean that your mechanical rights are registered. You should contact The Harry Fox Agency if you have questions in this regard. Most foreign performing rights societies base their distributions on a sample. That means, they do not pay on all performances.

Nightlife In the summer of 2001, all "normal" albums (excluding Disco, Disco 2, Very Relentless and Alternative) from Please up to (and including) Bilingual have each been rereleased as a 2CD. One CD is the normal CD and the second CD contains "goodies" like remixes, demos and such. Most of them have been released somewhere else, but it's nice to have them on CD and in one place.

Around the end of April 2006 there will be an all ages CD release concert where each band will perform. Venue and date have not yet been determined.

The short answer is, we don't really know. In fact, Roddy himself probably isn't sure. All we can tell you at this moment is what we've heard. And that's that Roddy is done writing the new album, he just hasn't started recording it yet. There's probably no good way to judge how long it will take him to finish it up, but for now let's just say the new CD might be out this Fall. We'll keep you posted as more info becomes available!

You should listen to the soundtracks exactly as described in the Program Instructions, which is sitting down, eyes closed. Other use is less effective. If you wish to have a second listening session on a given day, you could then listen while doing some other task, but always do at least one session exactly as the directions indicate. Since the soundtracks put you in an altered state, never listen while driving or operating equipment.

No. Listening for extended time periods can give the brain too much input and bring too much unresolved unconscious material to the surface, just like too much exercise can be harmful to the body. Listening all night, or even for several hours, can often create a state of severe overwhelm. Again, it is best to follow the instructions closely.

For best results always use the soundtracks as per the instructions, which indicate listening with eyes closed in a sitting position, as in a mediation. If you want to listen a second time while doing something else, that is okay, but always do your regular session as the instruction indicate. Listening while engaged in other activities will not yield the same results as following the directions. Since the soundtracks create an altered state, NEVER listen while driving.

Discs in countries such as the US that use the NTSC broadcast TV standard must provide at least one soundtrack in either of two formats: Dolby Digital or PCM (the format used on CDs). In countries using the PAL TV standard, including much of Europe, the discs must include at least one soundtrack in any one of three formats: Dolby Digital, PCM, or MPEG. Due to these requirements and the options they permit, not all discs may have Dolby Digital soundtracks.

Unfortunately, none of these earlier albums are widely available on CD, nor is there any likelihood of them being issued. The rights to these works are now owned by Seagrams in the USA who took control of Polygram in 1998 and thus the A&M Records label under the company name Universal Music Group. They have gone on record as stating that they have no interest or intention of releasing these titles.

The recording companies that been in contact have said that it is due to not enough fanbase to sell the conseriable amount of records needed to equal the amount spent on mkaing the CD's. Sorry to say but 10,000 SC fans isn't enough to convince the record companies to spend the $1,000's needed to cut the CD's.

Originally it was on ABC, then the Disney Channel, but alas it's no longer showing in the US. Not that we're biased, but "Muppets Tonight!" is (was) great.
