We have visitors to our website from all over the world and it would not be possible for us to translate our website into every language our visitors speak. Since our company is based in English-speaking countries, this is the language the majority of our correspondence is in. We do, however, send our newsletters in French (if requested during registration) and have some of our pages translated into French as well (look for the French flag).

First, plugins do not necesarily follow the same translation standards as Buddi does. If the plugin developer decided to hard code all text to English, there is no way to translate this. However, if the developer used the translation framework in Buddi, you can translate a plugin in a similar way that you translate Buddi itself. Just add a file Language.lang (where Language is your desired language), with the correct translated strings, into the root of the .jar file.

First, it's important to recognize that there's no need to actually host a second or alternate "website" ... because there's no second website to host. Peaceful Resources Center and the International Safe School Affiliates are non-profit organizations/non-governmental organizations (NGO's). It is not difficult to translate any of our Methodware software products provided the methodology is first translated (note - there are some Asian languages which our software cannot yet accommodate). Text files can be exported and edited by Methodware. Many reports can be edited by the end-user and reports are designed with minimal hard-coded text. The most complicated aspect would be if you needed the on-line help translated.

Without the appropriate technologies: "scripting languages" and databases webpage can only display static information. Even with simplest tasks taken for granted on the Internet today (e.g. sending an email from a form, display the current date or remembering how many items in a shopping cart) could not be accomplished without the implementation of technologies to augment HTML functionality.

You don't have to-we do! Once we've determined the countries where your translations must be used, we help you choose the language variety (or "dialect") that will be appropriate. (Sometimes more than one may be required.) For instance, there are significant vocabulary and grammatical differences between European and American Spanish. Distinct varieties of Spanish are spoken within the countries of South, Central and North America (including Mexico and the USA itself).
