Yes. Blowers can be installed on all Martin Hearth & Heating fireplace systems with the exception of our ISD inserts, where the blower is standard, and our radiant-faced B-vent fireplaces, which do not except a blower. They can be factory or field installed. To field install a blower, 110 v AC should be connected to the fireplace junction box at installation. Making this connection after the fireplace has been installed can be more difficult. Radiant plates must not be used with blowers.

Many of our gas fireplace models that have louvers or grills on the front can have a fan kit added. You will want to make sure that electricity is run to the junction box underneath the fireplace first, before ordering & installing a fan kit. You can test the junction box by plugging a lamp into the junction box and switching it on and off. Also make sure the circuit breaker is not tripped.

Valor fireplace heaters are so effective at producing both radiant and convected heat that a blower will not do a lot to improve your comfort. Blowers cannot deliver radiant heat nor will they influence air circulation much beyond the immediate area of the fireplace.

The BTS allows Martin Hearth & Heating blower-equipped fireplaces to cycle on and off, depending upon the temperature of the firebox inner chamber.

Yes. Most building codes allow the installation of a gas fireplace in a sleeping room as long as it is a sealed combustion, direct vent model. Your decision really comes down to whether heat or aesthetics is your number one priority. If heat is your first concern, or the existing wood fireplace has had a history of down drafting (smoking), you should purchase a gas insert.

Yes, however you should check with the TV manufacturer and/or the store you purchased the TV from. We recommend you place the TV at least 24" above the top of the opening of the fireplace and, most importantly, recessing the front of the TV at least 6" into the wall. Heat from the fireplace will rise in front of the wall above the fireplace so recessing the TV into the wall will move it out of the path of the heat.

A shroud is one of the most important features a blower must have for effective PPV. The shroud helps to shape the airflow into a cone shaped pattern and, with the Turbo 2000 Shroud, the slight taper increases the forward velocity and pressure of the air. The blower is controlled by a dial (located on the top left-hand side of the faceplate for inserts, on the control panel for stoves, and on fireplaces the controls are mounted on the louvers) which turns the blower on and off and allows you to adjust its speed. In addition to the switch, the blower is hooked up to a thermostat, so that it only operates within a predetermined temperature range.

The most important thing to do is to remain calm and have everyone exit the moonwalk. The moonwalk will gently deflate. First check the blower to see if it has been turned off or unplugged, be sure to also check the extension cords. If needed, plug it back in, turn on the blower and the moonwalk will re-inflate. If the blower became unplugged because the moonwalk moved you may need to reposition the moonwalk and tighten the tethers.

If the impeller is not attached properly to the power shaft it can create a wobbling effect and cause excessive vibration or shaking. On Direct Drive units, engine shaft bearings can become worn with the same results. When bearings have become worn, the shaft will not be centered and can cause the blade to wobble when in motion which will cause the blower to shake.

That depends on the type of blower your inflatable has. For external blowers use the zipper and Velcro strap to simply attach the blower sleeve to the blower tube. There are two common types of internal blowers. With the Fantech style, just unzip the deflation zipper to install the blower system. Use the Velcro and clips (included with your inflatable) to secure the blower in place then zip the inflatable closed.
