You would have to be a member, or a guest of a member and have AMA insurance according to our rules. However, it is not unheard of for someone with a plane or car and AMA membership to be allowed to fly or drive at our field by asking one of our members. Fugitive Safe Surrender typically operates from 9am to 5pm over a specified 4-day period. You are welcome during those hours. You may also arrive earlier than 9am during those four days if you wish to reduce your wait time.

Head Lice climb from one head to another and immediately start to lay between 6 and 8 eggs every day, these will hatch 7 to 10 days later but will be too small to see. This new generation will be mature in 7 days and start laying yet more eggs. By the time you spot the tell tale sign of your child scratching their head the lice will have had a couple of weeks head start (excuse the pun) and there will be nits and head lice everywhere.

A Paraglider folds down into a package the size of a largish knapsack and can be carried easily. Conversely, a Hangglider needs a vehicle with a roof-rack for transportation to and from the flying site, as well as appreciable time to set-up and strip-down. Your supervisor will expect you to be at work when your shift is assigned. Prior to each semester, it is most important that you work out a new schedule with your supervisor. Changes to your schedule should be discussed with your supervisor well in advance. If you have an emergency and will be absent or late, you must notify your supervisor as early as possible. Repeated absenteeism and tardiness can be a serious hindrance to your department's operations.

In order to maintain a stationary hover, the helicopter must be tilted just a little bit to the right. This is because the tail rotor, in addition to keeping the helicopter pointed in the right direction, also happens to provide a little bit of sideways thrust (after all, it's just a big propeller pointed sideways). To counteract the tail rotor's sideways thrust, the main rotor needs to be tilted slightly to the right.

Balloon flights are made either early morning or evening when the winds are at their calmest. The time varies throughout the season as with the daylight hours. Typically from May - August we start at 6:30 in the morning and 6 in the evening. During the winter we can usually fly any time of the day.

Balloons need calm winds to fly safely and the hours just following sunrise & just two hours before sunset are the best for calm winds. That is also why it is important to be on time for your flight.

How long will it take to offload a carrier at this terminal? It is estimated that Clearwater Port's natural gas receiving terminal will be able to deliver up to 200 billion cubic feet annually to the State of California. Based on this estimate, approximately four to eight carriers per month will offload at the terminal. You can start your career with an investment of +/? $60,000.00 accumulating all ratings up to and including your CFI and CFII helicopter rating, and you can begin your career.
