At first I only did a patch for it, to make it run with WordPress 1.5.x the way I wanted. Then WordPress 2.0 came out with a complete overhaul of the user management system. Filipes plugin did not switch over to the new user management system but introduced its own. Exchanging some mails between Filipe and me, he explained that he will never switch to the new system in the overseeable future.
