In all probability, most likely yes. But it would usually be a subconscious thing, as I never try and consciously copy someone else's work. Maybe [comic name author] took it off another comic themselves.

No. I don't link to reviews of my work, good or bad. If it's a positive review, I read it, smile and move on. I don't link to those review because it seems like I'm trying to say, "SEE! I'm good! This person says so!" If it's a postive review and the author emails me, I'm thankful. If it's a positive review and the author emails me, asking me to link to his/her site, I get suspicious.

No I most certainly did not! YND first started as a pet page and I was asked by Yukio (owner of PPT) if I would allow it to be a portal page on PPT, I said yes and also decided to keep it as a pet page as well. When I update the page, I update both the pet page and PPT page both at the same time.

I get this one so often, I will answer this one first. My answer to this is always the same. My inspiration comes in spurts, and if my comics are not updating regularly, or they were never meant to update regularly (Like Coons), it usually means my muses are taking a break, still trying to come up with a plot, or my real life is requiring my full attention. It all happened one fine day while I was rotting in class, doodling contentedly. The class I was currently afflicted with was called 'Religion 101', and despite the fact that Religion is been a force that has constantly shaped the history of mankind, I was bored to tears. I found this terribly ironic: shouldn't a subject as potentially fascinating as Religion be absolute dynamite to study? Obviously this was not the case.

One of two things happened. It either moved itself or it was deleted. Posts can sometimes "move" around, depending on how your preferences are set. If a thread is a couple of days old it is usually near the bottom of the index. If someone replies to that thread, however, their reply might show up at the top of the index, while the rest of that thread has actually moved off down at the bottom. Make sense? ;-) If, however, the post or thread was deleted, that's something entirely different.

I was thinking of having some kind of contest with really cool prizes, like an all-expense paid trip to Tahiti...but then I thought some of you might balk at shelling out money on a nice trip for me. And to be honest, the thought of relaxing somewhere on the beach being surrounded by oily, lithe, tanned bodies with the scent of vanilla lingering in the air while listening to the sound of the surf isn't exactly paradise compared to all the treats I have access to below.

Did WE do that? Not necessarily. Sometimes Yahoo gets clogged up and posts disappear randomly. But yes, we can, and yes, we do delete posts. Lest you think that posts get deleted left and right, just ask some of the long-time members: it rarely happens. Very, very rarely. We run the club with a very even hand. However, while this is a publicly visible club, Yahoo grants founders the right to monitor posts and delete any that are causing problems on the board.

Make sure you have uploaded the images as well as the HTML files, and that they are uploaded to the right place on the server. Most PageKits have the images in a separate images sub-folder under the main index.html page. Make sure you upload this folder to your server, with the images inside. This may be caused by your new images being slightly different dimensions from the original images.

If it's a picture then I most likely scanned it, or gave credit to where I got it from. If not, then I haven't a clue so there's no point in asking. Eer, why not? Our domain, our advertising, our studio name if you will was Comiku.com. So at the first Connecticon, others (read, Mookie who then got Brianna and Matt to use it too) found it convenient to refer to us as "The Comiku Girls". The name stuck, and we began self-applying the name when we signed up for artist's alley spaces. When we finally got motivated enough to start documenting our adventures in webcomic form, it seemed the natural name for the comiku -- I mean comic.

Fox and Collin were side characters in another comic I made. They were my favorites to write about, but it seemed unfair to devote that comic to them, since it really wasn't their story. Plus, I wanted to experiment with a story that was less about romantic relationships and more about family.

Why not? We didn't have any other decent premise, and at least we both knew what would happen should our characters actually meet. *g*

I've never actually mailed The Adventures of Action Item to anybody, except maybe a few of my close friends. At some point a coworker of mine asked me for a copy of the strip to send to a friend. I guess that friend mailed it to a few of his or her friends, and they all mailed it to a few of their friends, and so on. Next thing you know, it's all over the place.

In addition to the local monorail (described above), there is also an express monorail, following the same route. Well, on a conscious level, I don't steal people's work. It's just stupid. But on an unconscious level, I may have drawn them a certain way that looks "right" to me. I taught myself to draw the characters by looking at other webcomics around the place (ie: Sluggy Freelance, 3 finger salute, Polymer City, and a number of others) and learning how things were drawn (hands, heads, torsos, etc). By doing this however, a few things rubbed off, and some similarities appeared.

Well, it's a long story. The Cliffnotes version is, when I was a kid, my Dad owned a mill, where he turned lumber into various products like flooring and paneling.
