The Professional Studies major was created and approved during the 2001-2002 academic year. The first students were formally admitted during the summer of 2002.

Students must be actively enrolled as an undergraduate at WCU, and have earned a minimum of 30 credits at the time of application. Students must have a minimum WCU cumulative GPA of 2.00. Prospective students must have an intake interview with the Program Director to assess their qualifications. Once a student is deemed acceptable for the major, he/she must file a change of major form with the Office of the Registrar.

The Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA) established a Federal program to research, develop, and operationally test Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and to promote their implementation. You have to have at least a 3.25 GPA in the major, be self-motivated; approach a professor who will really work with you (for no extra pay, mind you!) on your reading list, research focus, the writing, and on finding somewhere to present the results of your research (a conference). You need to fill it out, get an advisor's signature, instructor signature, the dept.

Guam Code Annotated, Chapter 47 (Water Pollution Control Act), mandates the monitoring of Guam's recreational beaches in order to protect public health from the adverse effects of swimming in polluted waters. Guam EPA has provided this service to the community since 1974.

The certificate program is for people who want to enhance their careers through additional education and credentialing. A distinguished faculty with both practical and academic experience guides each certificate program to ensure that participants are both challenged and supported.

Level I, Orientation. Level I training provides the new senior member with information required for active membership in CAP. This level consists of the Orientation Course and Cadet Protection Program Training (CPPT). Shortly after joining CAP, the member receives a collection of pamphlets and manuals from the CAP Bookstore that make up the senior member handbook. Members should study these materials prior to attending a Level I Orientation Course.

The Women's Center and the Women's Studies Program are distinct campus units. Most simply, Women's Studies is an academic program that provides classes, advising, and programs for students pursuing a minor, a major, undergraduate and graduate certificate, or graduate options in Women's Studies.

DPCS offers a range of technology-focused associate and bachelor degree programs as well as professional certificates, technical skills courses. All DPCS programs specialize in preparing people for careers in technology and blend theory and practice with students spending 40% of their class time in the laboratory. The DPCS curriculum model includes specific learning and competency objectives that are integrated throughout each course.

Most Schools of Architecture will introduce you to your Professional Studies Advisor during your last year of study, and they will explain the PEDR monitoring and signing service that they offer. The PSA is employed by a School of Architecture or other Monitoring Institution to supervise and support students whilst they are working in practice, and they are responsible for signing your quarterly record sheets.
