I only review QUAKE 1 and CUBE maps. I decided to review CUBE SP maps, as there are currently no proper CUBE SP review sites that i am aware of. Minor or youth hockey has 2 types of officiating set-ups. In the young age groups, the 2-Official system is used. In the older and elite calibres of hockey, it is the 3-Official system. The 2-Official system is ideally used to help young, up and coming officials to gain experience in both the linesman and referee roles. In the 3-Official system, referees are the officials with armbands and the linesmen are without. Another reason is to keep the costs down.

To understand this I think you need to have played Quakeworld. It's only now, with the release of Quake 3, that there's an engine that's so perfectly suited to ports of Quake 1 modifications. When Quake 2 was released a few mod developers attempted Quake 1 team-play modificsations, but sadly it just didn't feel right. A lot of this has to do with the physics, which id Software have balanced very well in Quake 3 to please both Quake 1 and Quake 2 fans.

Most likely, your desktop enviroment is set up to run a sound server. In the case of Gnome, it's usually esound (killall -9 esd). In KDE, it is usually artsd (killall -9 artsd). Both of these can be disabled from inside the enviroment. In Gnome you can disable it inside the gnomecc program. In KDE you can open KDE Control Center -> Sound -> Sound Server -> uncheck Start aRts soundserver at KDE startup, and restart.

There is no "official" link, but in fact games both feature fast, exciting gameplay where hordes of monsters attack you from all directions and your reflexes and aiming skills are continually being tested. In truth, the CUBE single-player game play experience resembles the original DOOM most closely, whereas Quake 1 is *slightly* more complex in terms of gameplay (but not much!).

the moment not every Quake 2 map feature is supported yet. When there is water in the map the port crashes. I'm working on that at the moment. Today’s average recreational paintball game has been reduced to some variation of either elimination or capture the flag. I would but, so far, all the games I've received have been incompatible with my Macintosh or crashed it. That's not the kind of action/adventure game I'm looking for. In the future, I suggest game producers send me a computer and I'll buy the games myself.

It can vary greatly, depending on the nature of the scenario and the capabilities of the facilities being used. Most scenarios unfold over 8, 12 or 24 hours of continuous play. For 8 or 12 hour games there will likely be a midday break in the action on the field to get a preliminary score and to have everyone go through the chronograph again for afternoon play. 24 hour games will usually run from noon Saturday to noon Sunday.

Some older GS games have been converted to run on a ROM 3. These are games that I found to not work (I tried all versions): I found a version of Streets Sports Soccer that runs on ROM 3-- it's the one without the crack screen on bootup. So that game is gone from the list now.
