SAG-L is an open forum for the discussion of the products and services of Software AG. Although primarily intended for topics of a technical nature, topics regarding applications and application programming are also encouraged. SAG-L is offered as a free service by the University of Arkansas.

The SAG-L address (sag-l@listserv.uark.edu) is used to send messages to SAG-L subscribers. When you send a message to the SAG-L address, it is retransmitted by the list server to everyone who is currently subscribed to SAG-L. The LISTSERV address (listserv@listserv.uark.edu) is used to communicate with the list server system. The text of messages to LISTSERV are always commands for the list server, such as subscribe or unsubscribe or set.

All ResNet subscribers are automatically added to the RESNET-ANNOUNCE-L mailing list. Announcements concerning ResNet, network outages, major viruses, policy issues, billing or service changes, and other important issues relating to or of potential interest to ResNet subscribers are sent to this mailing list. This is one of ResNet and CIT's primary means of contacting ResNet subscribers to deliver information.

You can stop receiving your mail without unsubscribing through the graphical user interface (GUI) or by e-mail. SAG-L postings always contain the mail address of the original sender in their mail headers. However, many mail systems will rewrite mail headers in such a manner as to hide or confuse you on who sent the message. Rather than receiving a separate electronic mail file for each posting to SAG-L, the list server can optionally collect multiple postings and send them in a batch or digest. Yes, we will provide full sag support during your entire vacation. Our vans will be stationed at key turns on the cycling routes and are stocked with bottled water, pastries, fruit, and cookies. Each day's itinerary and the location of the sag support vans will be discussed each prior evening during a brief group meeting before dinner. It is highly recommended, however, that you please bring your own drink powders with you.

You can turn off AutoClick until the next time you click manually using the "Skip Next Click" hotkey (which you can set from the AutoClick settings page under AutoClick hotkeys). There is a setting in AutoClick Advanced Settings called "Keyboard Shortcut for changing AutoClick Mode" which causes AutoClick to change mode if you tap a hotkey twice (e.g. pressing "Skip Next Click" twice turns AutoClick off, and "Single Click" twice would turn it back on).

If you are going to be away from e-mail for a while, let's say you are going to Hawaii for two weeks, but you want to remain subscribed to the list, simply go through the following steps:

In some cases you may wish to disable the Hummingbird SOCKS Client. For example if the client shim is installed on a laptop that does not require SOCKS while used on a home network then you can simply rename the socks.cnf configuration file while it is not needed.

Some programs may require antivirus protection to be disabled during their installation. You must always be careful when disabling AMON as by doing so you expose your computer to viruses. Therefore, leave it disabled only for the time necessary and do not forget to turn it on as soon as possible. Do not stop AMON by clicking the Stop button. This would completely unload the AMON driver from memory and some operating systems do not allow drivers to be reloaded until the next computer restart.
