We don't recommend it. Playing the CDs more often than described in the Program literature won't increase the onset or effectiveness of the CDs. Instead it will likely over-stimulate the listener's nervous system. This may result in undesirable behaviors.

When a baby smiles, they obviously recognise the voice of their caregiver. Before birth, each child has been rapidly growing brain cells and physically developing, listening, hearing, seeing. They have responded to music and movement in the same way as they do when they are born. Often parents think that they will wait to introduce music to young babies until they can jig up and down to the radio at 14 months of age. Babies respond to music and musical instruments from a few weeks of age.

You are always more than welcome to bring your CDs along, but you can also check with us to see if we carry the song you wish us to play.

There is no set best or worst time to use the CDs. You'll need to experiment to see when the best time is for you. NewWorld machines have no audio connection between their CD-ROM drive and their sound hardware. Therefore, audio information must be read as data and then piped to the sound hardware. This is possible using xmms and the xmms-cdread plugin, that reads the audio off the CD over the ATA cable, decodes it in software and sends it to the sound card over the PCI bus as digital data.

Primarily where you live will determine what program you participate in. If you are in a fraternity, sorority, or men's or women's coop, chances are you will play for your house. If you live in a residence hall, chances are you will play for the floor/unit of your residence hall. Have you unlocked the cuckoo's door? To do this, you must turn a little wire to the side that secures the door while shipping. The most common reason why the cuckoo and music do not work is because they have been turned off. Check the position of the night shut-off. With some clocks the night shut off is a switch located to the left side of the clock. With other cuckoos, it is a wire under the clock.

Sometimes broadcasts are dated according to their original broadcast date, and sometimes according to a date on which they have been rebroadcast. For instance, the Armed Forces Radio Service rebroadcast many Mutual Radio transcriptions at a later date. Your tape may be of one of these later dates. Alternately, somebody might have made a mis-typopgoof.

Absolutely! Many people continue using their REI Program CDs long after the entraining period is over. In fact, we have people who've been continuously using an REI CD for several years. Use CD #1 for episodal calming or focusing - in other words, use it when you need to calm down or focus on a task. Use CD #2 as a daily (or almost daily) session to keep improving on the changes the Program facilitates.

Although most people buy tapes, CDs, or digital audio files thinking they are now their property, there is a distinction in the law between owning a copy of the music and owning the songs on the CD, etc. There is also a difference between a private performance of copyrighted music and a public performance. When you buy a tape, CD, or digital audio file, the purchase price covers only your private listening use, similar to the "home" use of "home" videos.
