AOL does not use standard Internet protocols, so there are no addresses. You may be able to subscribe to an outside service that does support these protocols, to find these just go to any major search engine such as Yahoo and type in something along the lines of 'Free Email'

If a mail server does not start, make sure that no other server of the same type is running. The following areas should be checked: Start->Settings->Control Panel->Admin Tools->Computer Management under 'Services and Applications' Depending on which server fails to start, it may be possible to open a DOS command window on the mail server machine and 'telnet' to the server port to check if another server is running.
