I'm new to integration. What books can I read to learn about it?
JBIWiki: FAQA very good book on integration is Enterprise Integration Patterns by Gregor Hophe and Bobby Woolf. An excellent collection of many messaging-based integration solutions. For inter-enterprise integration (B2B), I've found B2B Integration by Christoph Bussler, to be quite interesting. It is a bit academic compared to the other books mentioned above, but covers a wide rather of B2B integration topics in a very methodical fashion. Beware: this is not light reading!

jk's Tarot FAQI can wholeheartedly (and wholebrainedly) say, since I'm both the author of this FAQ, and the book I'm recommending above all others to you, that if you were to read just ONE book about Tarot, it should be Rhapsodies of the Bizarre. It's not a very large book, and so can't possibly claim to be the most thorough treatment of Tarot, the game or deck of cards. No, that honor and tedium goes to Michael Dummett's bloated and seldom read 1980 The Game of Tarot.

Should I learn to read music?
Answers to Frequently Asked QuestionsYou betcha! All musicians should be able to read standard musical notation for their instruments. This is not to say that you must become a super sight-reader, just be able to tell what's happening on the page. Lord knows, I'm certainly not a session-caliber sight reader -- anything fancier than a dotted-eighth-and-sixteenth note figure makes my eyes go all blurry -- but that's enough for me to do most of what I need to do.
