To be considered for admission, an applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution and have adequate preparation in the biological, physical, and/or social sciences. Each area of concentration has slightly different criteria, so it is important to select an area of concentration to determine what background the program is looking for.

There is no requirement that applicants have a degree in a particular field; however, having a background in psychology, epidemiology, heath education or other social or behavioral sciences is useful. We accept the university minimum of 1000 (V/Q combined) but a combined total of 1200 is preferred. We invite candidates with an undergraduate degree that is founded in the liberal arts background. This includes coursework in the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and English composition.
