To graduate from the Programme you must be competent in a language other than English. Many of our students understand several languages when they enter the Programme and do not need to study another language - although an increasing number choose to study another language. If you need to develop your language skills you can join one of the language electives taught at London Business School. Subject to demand, we offer French, Spanish, German, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.

Of course! Vesalius College offers instruction in French and Dutch. Since course level assignments are different for language courses in different countries, Vesalius College requires that any student wishing to register for a French or Dutch course that is not at the elementary level (no prior knowledge of the language) must take a written and oral language placement test during orientation week (week preceding the first week of classes).

We think that exchange trips work very well when they are the product of strong links between two schools in different countries, based on a long tradition of exchange programmes or possibly a town’s twinning arrangements. German language courses are offered before and during the program. Many postgraduate courses are designed and conducted entirely in English.

Beginning level classes are offered in three countries: Hindi in India, Wolof in Senegal, and Swahili in Kenya. Advanced Spanish is taught in Ecuador. All MSID programs require a 2.5 GPA; junior, senior, or graduate student status, or a bachelor's degree; and relevant course work or volunteer experience. Though the medium of instruction is English, the students will have to study the Chinese Language in order to communicate with the patients in the clinics from 5th semester onwards. Hence Chinese language class is kept right from first semester through fifth semester.

Some recent additions to the MAAL include a number of advanced language units in Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian and Japanese. No. This is a research study and not a comprehensive speech-language evaluation. This study assesses narrative language skills, one of the strongest predictors of language outcomes and one of the best ways to assess language and working memory using high interest stories. In addition, speech intelligibility and vocabulary knowledge (receptively and expressively) are assessed. A questionnaire is also provided to obtain information about pragmatic language skills (the functional use of language).
