It is an energy and information-based healing system derived from the age-old wisdom system of Kabbalah. Kabbalah has a very long tradition possibly dating back over 4,000 years - some say the knowledge predates creation itself! KH incorporates general and specific practices for sharing of this energy-information between a client and practitioner. These practices can be taught and are fairly easily learned by most anyone given the appropriate training.

Essentially, the healing facilitator "opens up" a channel through which the Universal healing energy-information from Source comes through. In this way the facilitator becomes a conduit of this Divine energy-information and then transmits/shares this with the client in order to open up the client's own gateway to allow this energy-information to flow through her.

Yes, completely. In fact animals seem to take to this kind of energy-information very easily, seem to enjoy it and appear to benefit from it as much, if not more than people do.

Absolutely. It is theoretically just as effectively done "long distance" as it is live. The reason why is because KH is primarily an information-based modality, rather than being primarily energy-based. Information transmission and reception are not restricted to the four dimensions of space-time (whereas we usually conceive of energy as limited by space-time).

There have been a few studies of related modalities but nothing specific about KH that I am aware of. I am presently conducting my own research by cataloging case studies of my clients. I offer KH sessions on a voluntary donation basis with a suggested minimum of $96 per 60 minutes ($24 per 15 minutes). Everyone's ability to donate is different. Some may offer more, some less. I believe no one should be denied the opportunity to experience KH and I turn no one away who earnestly desires to experience it. This donation policy is similar to a sliding scale based on financial need (e.g., senior citizens, students, lack of financial resources).

That depends on the pH you would like and how much CO2 you want to inject. The pH should be set to suit the species of fish you will keep in the tank. For a community tank, a neutral pH (7.0) is a good target. As mentioned before, a good level of CO2 is 15 mg/l. To figure out the proper KH for this community tank, use Figure 2. Find the 15 mg/l CO2 line and go across the chart until you get to the pH=7.0 line. Go down from there to determine the amount of KH you should have (5 dKH).

KH or GH readings in parts per million (ppm) can be converted to degrees by dividing them by 17.86. For example, if your KH tests as 120 ppm, this means your KH is 6.7 degrees.

They are, there is much controversy about this, and hopefully over the next year this will become more clear. You need to talk with your local garden expert for the particulars in your area. We do know that pH and KH values are somewhat dependant upon the part of the United States you are in, as well as whether you are using well water or city water.

First, you need to think about the resolution and accuracy of the test kits. If the KH kit is accurate to +/- 0.5 dKH and the pH kit is +/- 0.2 units, the range of CO2 values read from the table can be quite large. Let's say you get a carbonate hardness reading of 3 dKH (+/- 0.5) and get a pH reading of 7.0 (+/- 0.2). This would indicate CO2 ranging from a low value to an optimum value: KH = 2.5, pH = 7.2 >> CO2 = 5 mg/l KH = 3.0 pH = 7.0 >> CO2 = 9 mg/l KH = 3.5 pH = 6.
