The Steering Committee requested final examinations from all educators within the field of Aromatherapy with a view to determining whether a common body of knowledge existed and, if so, creating the exam along with grading guidelines for National standards.

The Steering Committee considered ways that these concerns could be addressed. Possibilities included developing a prescriptive core curriculum, forming a council of schools, establishing a voluntary national register and creating a voluntary national exam, or leaving things as they were.

The CT Steering Committee is composed of large-lot landowners within the Trail corridor, municipal and state representatives, land trusts, regional planning agencies, trail-users groups and other trail interests. Pituitary tumors/disease present a vast array of symptoms, and it's often the symptoms that get treated, not the disease. As a result, pituitary patients can spend years being misdiagnosed as their tumors grow. People with undetected pituitary tumors can die of heart attacks, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency or water balance problems, all of which can mask the main cause: a pituitary tumor.

Common committees deal with issues that apply to more than one division of the Association. Common committees perform duties necessary to the ongoing operation of the applicable divisions and are comprised of members from the applicable divisions.

In 1997, NACVA HQ and TC instructor team (TCIT) (18 SMEs who taught NACVA’s 5-day course) set for itself two goals: (1) to be consistent in what was taught in the TCs so that one instructor could step in for another without any knowledge loss, and (2) ensure that a participant who sat for NACVA courses could pass any competitor’s valuation certification exam. The TCIT came up with an outline of valuation knowledge which they would use in 1998.

Yes they did, games like Spy Hunter used a potentiometer (Pot)-based wheel which was limited to 270 degrees of travel. Games like Pole Position, Indy Heat, and Super Sprint, used an optical wheel (like a mouse) which allowed for 360-degree rotation. Most PC (gameport) wheels use the Pot-based wheel. I recommend hacking an optical arcade wheel because it will still work for pot-based games, while a pot-based wheel will not play properly for optical wheel games.

The savings realized by the district comes from closing buildings. There are reduced costs in both staffing and facility costs. The district will realize savings from closing eight elementary schools and one middle school. Opening three upper elementary schools, reopening an elementary school and changes in transportation will offset some of the projected savings.

Once the grade configuration was chosen, the number of classrooms available for instruction determined how many students could be placed in each school. Next, the current physical condition of the building was examined to see if there were specific issues which might make one site a better choice than another. Finally, the geographic location of the school was considered.

MCRUD Steering Committee meetings are open to the public and we always welcome new members. As stated above, our meetings are open to members of the alcohol beverage industry. However, we will not accept representatives of the alcohol beverage industry as voting members of the state wide Steering Committee. (Please see our written policy on this issue.) Meetings are typically held in Lansing, but sometimes will be held in other communities.

The committee should be made up of equal parts of community-based residents/organizations and local decisionmakers. A minimum of 25 percent of the community-based component must be community residents not serving in an official capacity, and the balance should be representatives of community-based (including faith-based) organizations who may or may not live in the community. You need a minimum of three people for an effective committee. There is no ideal maximum number of participants. Create subcommittees as your group grows. At the elementary school level it's ideal to have one parent and one teacher co-chair the committee to form links to both the Parent-Teacher Association and school staff. For high schools, it works best if the committee is co-chaired by one teacher and one student to encourage links between staff and students.
