Use a non-sanded grout such as â??Polyblend Non-Sanded.â?? Use a grout float with a rubber face to spread grout over tiles. Ask your tile installer about grout color suggestions. Selecting grouting colors is difficult because of the many colors in the image so something neutral in a color that most pleases you is best. Seal the grout lines with a penetrating sealer such as TileLab 4Care Penetrating Sealer, Grout & Tile Sealer by Custom Building Products available at most hardware stores.

When the adhesive has set for 24 hours, remove the spacers between the tiles. Use a grout float to apply the grout, force it down the joints, and remove any excess with a sponge. Make sure that you use the grout float DIAGONALLY or you will remove grout from the joinsts. Wash the tiles with the sponge to make sure there's no grout on them. A sponge is one of the main tools to have. Always keep a sponge and a bucket of water closeby.

Grouting the casing helps prevent surface contaminants from entering an aquifer. In flowing Artesian wells it prevents water from migrating to the surface beside the casing.

Flush Sinks in Granite Top - Granite counter top sink cutouts are not as I ordered. I ordered the sink cutouts on counter tops made for our kitchen to be made FLUSH with the sink bowls.The sink manufacturer specified this on the prep sink cutout for accessories but not on the two bowl sink. I ordered the two bowl to be flush as well to match.They had both sinks in house and I provided them detailed drawings for reference.The tops were delivered with a 3/16 reveal on both sinks.

You must leave a minimum of 24 hours between fixing and grouting, but the longer it can be left the better. As a rule, the larger the tiles the longer the adhesive should be left to dry before grouting. Also, if the surface being fixed to is not very absorbent (such as onto existing tiles), you should give the adhesive a minimum of 3 days to dry.

If the grout is less than 5 to 10 days old then try using Grout Haze Clean-Up neat. If it is older then you will have to use a mild acid such as Phosphoric Acid Cleaner. DO NOT USE STRONG BRICK ACIDS as they can do irreparable damage to the grout joint itself. Unlike glazed tiles, polished marble (and honed limestone) is sensitive to acid cleaners (even mild ones like Phosphoric acid) and will almost certainly be damaged if you attempt to clean them using such products.

They can be easily removed using a slightly abrasive sponge soaked in hot water or in a 3% solution of water and hydrochloric acid.

For best results, the surface temperature of the area being grouted should be between 60 degrees F (16 degrees C) and 90 degrees F (32 degrees C). If the temperature is cooler, down to 45 degrees F (7 degrees C) use LATAPOXY 2000 Industrial Grout. LATAPOXY 2000 Industrial Grout will cure faster at the colder temperature. Cool temperatures will slow curing and require longer time to traffic.
