In the Open Dialog box Choose All Files (*.*) from the Files of Type (Windows) or Show (Mac) pull-down menu.

After you have uploaded your file, if it is one of the formats we can convert to PDF, you will be offered the option to create a PDF. It is a one click process.

Usually there is someone in the School who knows how to do this and may be able to help you, perhaps using Adobe Acrobat. The Documentation options are common to PDF files as well. Select "Project | Documentation Options", then click on the [Front Cover] button and click to the right of the image and press backspace to remove it. You can add your own image by clicking on the Insert Image toolbar icon. The rest of the Documentation options affect your PDF file and you can change all the options from the "Documentation Options" screen.

The safest way is to use the Adobe Distiller, available on Girshick. We don't have a distiller on RGMiller and I can't for the life of me figure out why hpux but not IRIX! You will be asked a few questions. It is best to be safe and use the 2.1 compatibility mode. This program also creates an file with an ugly name AcrobatDistiller in your home directory containing your preferences. If you delete this file no harm will be done except that you'll be asked the compatibility questions again.
