Generally the families live within 15 minutes by bus from the school. Taxis are very inexpensive and also a convenient way to get to school. A lot of families live within walking distance, depending upon the country. Most of the schools are located only a short distance from the downtown area.

The host families live in different areas of Cusco. Some live in the center, walking distance from the school (10 -15 minutes walking), others live in the more quiet, affluent areas of Cusco, outside the tourist district. From these places you can easily reach the school by taxi or public bus (10-15 minutes by taxi or bus). Transport in Cusco is very inexpensive. A taxi ride costs $ 0.50.

We only have the seven sites for now, and are willing to work with families who don't live close to one of our centers. If you are interested in participating, I encourage you to call any one of the centers listed on www.schizophreniaresearch.net, and talk to them about your options. They would do an initial screening interview to see if your family would qualify.

All our host families are located within a short walking distance from the school. Thus you can walk back and forth in just a few minutes.

It may vary by location and your placement. Some of our host families are located within walking or biking distance from your school. Although every effort is made, there is no guarantee that you will be placed in walking or biking distance. Some of our students may be required to take a bus or train ride to get to their school, and may take up to even one hour.

The homes can be in any area of the city, although we try to have them close enough to the school. If they are a little far, there is always a bus that will go past near the school.

Graduate student housing is available on and off campus within walking, biking, or a bus ride's distance from both the Ithaca and Singapore campuses.

All Volunteer Firefighters are issued fire department pagers that enable you to hear emergency dispatches in your community. Volunteers are encouraged to respond to emergencies on fire/rescue equipment, however they are authorized to respond to certain nearby emergencies in their private vehicles under strict guidelines. Motor vehicle laws must be adhered to and at no time shall any rotating or flashing lights or siren be used with private vehicles.

The Richmond Hill campus, where freshmen and sophomores live and study, is about 7 miles or 35 minutes by Tube. The Kensington campus, where juniors and seniors live and study, is right in the heart of central London.

We are the highest category Resort closer to downtown; we are only five minutes away from downtown of Puerto Vallarta .

Guests, we are conveniently located on Capital Hill, Seattle's most exciting neighborhood that also happens to be closest to the center of the city - Westlake Center (15 blocks). Seattle is 20 minutes North from the airport. You can walk downtown or take the #10 Metro bus.

The Piedmont Triad International Airport is 20 miles from downtown Winston-Salem and is easily accessible off Interstate 40. Smith Reynolds is located 10 minutes north of downtown.

It will take you several minutes to wind down Pinnacle Vista to get to Highway 321. From there, it is about 8 minutes to shopping, dining & all of Downtown Gatlinburg's attractions. During peak seasons and weekends - Gatlinburg is busy and it may take longer to arrive at your destination.

We are about three miles from essential areas of Sonora, and two-way public transportation is available.

Families are really important and their love and support is a vital ingredient in the rehabilitation process. They have a great ability to motivate their relatives and keep them going when times are hard. They can help the professional staff by encouraging the person with a brain injury to keep going and participate fully in their rehabilitation. They can also help by explaining to them what is going on and why the professionals are suggesting what they are.

KEY2CAREERS has a Homestay Department to take care of that. Its work is to carefully choose the families who are going to receive our students. The selection process is very strict and the families must fulfill specific requirements in order to be selected.

Over 60% of ASIJ families live in the Minato-ku (Roppongi/Hiroo) and Shibuya-ku (Yoyogi, Aoyama, Omotesando) areas of Tokyo. ASIJ families with younger children often prefer the "green" area of Yoyogi, just near Shibuya, with parks and nice residential areas -- and a shorter commute to the Chofu campus.
