Generally speaking, llamas do fine with any cold weather. They do need to be able to get into shelter in severe cold wind conditions or the tips of their ears can become frost bitten. Set back is the optimal distance that a blower should be placed away from the entrance opening for the highest volume of CFM and is determined during AMCA testing. The blower is tested the first time and then moved forward and tested. If the CFM increases, then it is moved forward again.
