If you use Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger 4.7X your email settings will be automatically configured when you upgrade to SBC Yahoo! DSL. If you use another email client, you must change your settings manually after you activate your SBC Yahoo! DSL account. Here are SBC Yahoo! Every domain name has its own administration password, refered to as the postmaster password. When you join the community, you have the option of receiving Message Board postings in your email inbox or reading them on the web. If you choose to receive messages in your inbox, ALL messages will be sent to your inbox. If you find the amount of messages sent to your email inbox cumbersome, you can change your settings so that you read ALL message board posts on the internet when you check the community's Message Boards rather than receiving them in your inbox. 1.

The three crucial parts to setting up email are the username, password and mail servers. For the username and password, simply copy what you have created in Plesk to your mail program (Outlook, Eudora, etc). Finally, make sure your incoming mail server is mail.yoursite.com where yoursite.com is your domain name. You have to use your ISP's SMTP for the outgoing mail server which varies depending on what ISP you use to connect to the internet.

There is a default email account set up with every account. The default setting for this is to route all mail sent to domain to this mailbox. Suggested settings are to route all mail to unidentified users to a black hole (i.e. they are thrown away) also clear out any mail already in the default address. If you are using an email program that our install program doesn't recognize, we can't automatically configure the settings for you.
