We supply the entire tube cartridge, which also contains the gear set which drives the tube. We have found, in most cases, that the gears also wear and need replacement along with the tube. If your unit had a tube that did not move, for instance, it may not only be a problem associated with wear of the tube, but also of the gear set. Any make of 12AX7 (also known as ECC83 or 7025) can be used as a replacement preamp tube in your SWR amplifier. ECC83 is the European number; 7025 is the military number. Different "cousins" of the 12AX7 will affect gain structure in different ways. The 12AX7 will provide 100-percent gain. Using a 12AU7 would result in a loss of about 40 perecnt of gain. QKB15S Keyboard Controllers are powered by +12 VDC usually from a wall transformer. The Q101, Q103, and Q137 Power modules provide DC power via a 6 pin female connector. The voltages available are +15VDC, -15VDC, and +5VDC - all well regulated. The keyboard controller has it's own internal regulator and only needs about 9VDC - 18VDC at less than 50ma.
