FAQ - GoBiodieselNothing. If you have an older car the first time you switch to biodiesel, after about 20 hours of engine operation you should change the fuel filter. In much older cars (older than 1997) you may need to change the fuel hose, as biodiesel may soften and eventually cause older rubber fuel hoses to degrade. Newer hoses do not degrade.
