What is the difference between a quad bike and an ATV?

ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) is the general term used to describe a vehicle designed for off-road use. This could include quad bikes, Landrovers, Argo-Cats etc. Quad bikes are the sit-astride four wheel bikes with handlebars. The farming community tends to call them ATVs, while the forestry calls them ATCs (All Terrain Cycles). Leisure users tend to use the term Quad Bike. We use the term interchangeably!

The clamps in your ATV License Plate are too small for my quad. What do I do?

Make sure you are installing the ATV License Plate Kit in the proper area. The proper area should be your grab rail in the back of your quad or the luggage rack. If the clamps are still too small, try removing the rubber grommets that are wrapped around each clamp. Most bikes have a fixed back axle, which makes them unsuitable for cornering on hard surfaces. The factory supplied lighting kits do not conform with the Road Traffic Act.
