If Spector Pro does not respond when the hot-keys are typed, restart your computer. If Spector Pro still does not respond, insure you are simultaneously holding down all the non-alphanumeric keys in the sequence before pressing the alphanumeric key. You can also try using the other set of non-alphanumeric keys on the other side of the keyboard to press your hotkey sequence.

If Spector Pro no longer records ANY information, restart you computer. If Spector Pro is recording some information but not other information (example: It is recording snapshots but not certain email), then refer to the Knowledge Base. It may be necessary to re-calibrate the touch-screen. To do this it will be necessary to power down the instrument. Apply power while holding a finger on the touch-screen until the unit powers up in to Diagnostics mode. Select the Touch calibration button, if the button cannot be operated because the calibration is very far out, wait approximately 5 minutes and the unit will automatically go to the screen calibration routine. The 3.3.5 release is based on X11R6.3 which includes the XKB extension and has it enabled by default. Hot Keys are based on hardware-dependent codes that vary from computer to computer. Although the default Hot Key settings that ship with Synergy will work on most Apple-branded equipment, there are some third-party keyboards and particular Apple models (such as certain iBooks) which will not respond properly to the default key codes. It is not possible to set F14 and F15 for Hot Keys as Apple reserves them for controlling the brightness on their LCD displays. By adding a modifier to the Hot Key, such as "Command", you may use those as Hot Keys, but you will not be able to use them for this purpose without a modifier unless Apple changes its implementation. Click the SST Main Menu button (the small triangle) and go to Preferences. Choose the Shortcuts tab. To reassign hot keys, select the event you want and enter the keyboard shortcut combination. After the hot key combination appears in the text field next to the Assign button, click Assign. You may delete a selected shortcut or all listed shortcuts by clicking Remove or Remove All.
