Because of spamming, student does not relay mail for hosts outside of ucr.edu. Unfortunately, pop and imap mail are treated as relayed mail, so student refuses to deliver it. Short of doing weird things like tunneling with ssh, there is nothing to be done about this. Relay your mail through your ISP, or don't use pop/imap.

Your outgoing SMTP server depends on the location of your mailer's internet connection. If your mailer is connected directly to the CS subnet use mail.cs.colostate.edu. The SMTP setting is just your domain name. For example, if your domain name is homer.com, then your SMTP server setting is homer.com. (Do not use the 'www'.) These attachments are used to send Notes rich-text-format messages to other Notes users across the Internet.
