The majority of our incoming students live in quadruple-occupancy rooms (otherwise known as "quads"). Most of our "quad" rooms are located on South Campus (in Roberts, McClure, and Gregory Halls). In these halls, quads are actually two double rooms that are connected by closet spaces and a private bathroom for the four residents of the room.

We do offer the option of triple rooms for those on a budget who want to share a room with a couple of friends. Many students take advantage of this option. Double and single rooms are also available for a supplemental cost.

We do our best in trying to avoid triple rooms, however, triple rooms are created when student demand exceeds the number of available rooms. In order to select any room on campus, you must be able to fill the room according to room occupancy. Therefore, to select a triple, three students must be interested in the room. To accomodate those interested in co-ed living, the Office of Housing and Residential Life has developed an “in-house” process for choosing co-ed rooms in the Woodlands only.
