A zero-hour forecast indicates how the computer model "sees" the atmosphere at the beginning - the initial time or "zeroth" hour - of a numerical simulation. A 00H forecast map shows the initial values of the meteorological elements that the model calculates.

The gist of the Zero Hour story is that the United States won the original war. The GLA is now trying to reorganize its splintered cells. USA command faces off against one of these cells and a gamma toxin general named Dr. Thrax. The USA scenario revolves around defeating Thrax and his arsenal of chemical weapons. The GLA, on the other hand, is still just as strong.

Due to government censorship that would have required Zero Hour to be rated "R" and restricted to gamers over the age of 18, a Worldbuilder is not included in the German editions of Zero Hour and Generals Deluxe Edition. Some enterprising individuals offer hacked versions of the English Zero Hour worldbuilder for download. Zero Hour is a current military term that describes the exact moment of a major conflict between two opposing forces.

Based on player requests we have now added the ability to turn off your stats in Custom Matches. Along with this we allow a "starting cash" variant, a "limit superweapons" button and a "limit armies" button. With regard to limiting armies we felt that some players would rather keep the game "pure" with just the original sides - so we let game hosts lock out the Generals armies if they want. We've also worked on improving connectivity, etc...lots of optimizations.

Forecasts can be submitted for multiple rate centers in the same NPA within one submission. From the tools frame to the left of PAS select Submit Forecast, then Create/Modify Forecast. This will bring up the "Thousands Block Forecast" selection box. Enter the NPA, First Month, and OCN then click "Continue". From the Thousands Block Forecast Report page, you can select a rate center from the drop-down list. PAS enters zero as the default forecast amount for 12 months.

While the events of Zero Hour did not have a major effect on Batman's present character, Zero Hour was used by the Batman Group Editor Dennis O'Neil to "correct" some issues in Batman's history. (Zero Hour gave writers/editors the right to make one retcon - retroactive continuity change - per title.) These issues are: Batman never found out who murdered his parents. This invalidates the BATMAN: YEAR TWO storyline among others. Batman never slept with Talia (daughter of Ra's Al Ghul).

Open up Options.ini in My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\ and change the line that says: Resolution = 1280 960 You have triggered Zero Hour's built-in copy protection scheme. Assuming you have a legitimate version of Zero Hour, the only way to fix this problem is to reinstall Zero Hour. The scheme can be triggered if you make significant changes to your computer (say, upgrading to a new version of Windows or changing the CPU) while Zero Hour is installed.

Generally speaking, acceptable performance with Zero Hour can be obtained with a CPU speed of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM, and a GeForce 2 (non-MX) card or newer. A system of this configuration will let you play Zero Hour at 1024x768 with a reasonable amount of detail. The most critical aspects are CPU speed and RAM. Zero Hour heavily depends on CPU speed for performing physics calculations, and the game itself requires over 256 MB of RAM.

This is often caused by having a lot of CD drives - especially if you are using a "virtual CD" type program. Zero Hour gives up looking for the CD after a few drives, so try to put the CD in the CD-ROM drive with the lowest letter (preferably D or E). A second cause could be a dirty disc. Gently wipe the disc with a soft tissue or - in more extreme cases - gently run water over the data side of the disk and then dry it by wiping radially outwards from the center.

Yes. Simply add -win to the shortcut you use to start Zero Hour. So the "target" field in the shortcut should look something like: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\generals.exe" -win[Back to top] Zero Hour patches independently from Generals (and vice versa) - patches for Generals do not affect your Zero Hour version. You must install the Zero Hour update either by connecting to Zero Hour online or by obtaining the manual update (e.g., from our files area).
